I don't know how many of you that follow this thread are collecting the Master Set, but I was thinking about contacting PSA to request them to add the three variations of card #416 Haywood Sullivan to the set. I know new variations messes up everyone's master set initially, but this is a true variation. It has to do with the copyright on the back of the card. None have been graded as such yet by PSA, but there is no reason they can't start designating the variations when they grade Sullivan cards. Does anyone have an opinion either way? I would love to hear from you. Thanks!

I have two of the variations so far. The one variation I do not have is #416A which is "No circle around copyright symbol, no period after A in U.S.A

#416B front and back No circle around copyright symbol, period added after A in U.S.A.

#416C front and back Circle around copyright symbol, period added after A in U.S.A.

If anyone is interested in paying a fair price for a nice pile of well-centered psa 8's (except for one card).....lol........and a couple 9's.......lmk.....my wife and I have decided that due to tightening money issues.....the 59's must also go.........

.......my set is under artimus711 on the registry and is around #71....I believe all the cards are scanned.....the only one I don't like the centering on is the first one...#18......the rest I was very picky with.......SMR is around $2200......I tried to find some ebay prices...but many didn't have recent sales to look at.....so feel free to make an offer......

Hey guys,

Sorry to bust into your thread but looking for some assistance and might make someones day in the process.

A local card shop that I have done business with for over 20 years here in Lincoln just picked up 4 PSA 9 1959 Topps baseball and some other goodies including a SGC 1952 Redmans Willie Mays.

Here are the 1959 Topps cards

#110 Geroge Witt
#366 Humberto Robinson
#454 Phil Clark
#543 Skinner/Verdon/Clemente

He called me as I am a vintage golf guy, but the current market on 59 topps is way outta my area of expertise. Can anyone provide some updated pricing ideas to me, and if anyone is interested, I am pretty sure he will be looking to move them, as Lincoln Ne is not exactly a hotbed for graded PSA 1959 topps.

If any questions let me know, I am going drop by his shop hopefully tommorow and pick up the cards so I can make some front and back scans to share with anyone here who may want to see them.

I've been working on completing the 59 set. I need 46 more cards. My goal is to complete the set in 7s. I have 70 graded cards and the rest are raw. I plan on getting the raw cards graded at some point. I am currently looking for a Mickey Mantle AS(#564) in a 7. Please contact me if you have one available.

The juices are flowing to refresh the 1959 Topps thread. I hope some of you jump in with comments, scans, stories, etc about your 1959 Topps, one of the best vintage sets made IMHO.

Here are some recent cards I submitted for grading to PSA that are now in my set. I love the 1959 Topps!

I also had this Sturdivant card graded which is a pop 1, but worked out a sweet deal and traded it to the #1 1959 Topps Set guy on the registry. It is a beautiful card for sure.

I'm close to completion. Mostly 8s, a few 9s, but more 7s than 9s. The Pierce A.S and Mantle are 6s. I'll upgrade the Mantle to an 8, but not the Pierce.
