2000 Stadium Club Chrome First Day Issue Refractor #'d 13/25. I consider this Hamilton's absolute toughest early card. It has the same print run as the '99 BC Gold Refractor, but 2002 SC Chrome was broken in far smaller quantities. This is the first one I've seen in several years of searching
I have been waiting to find this card reasonably priced for a looong time. I got this one on ebay. I believe the seller is also a board member.

May 26, 1911, Friday; Tommy Murphy, former king of New York lightweights, lasted only forty seconds against the terrific punches of Knockout Brown in their bout scheduled to go ten rounds at the Madison Athletic Club last night.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
Picked this up on eBay recently with a $60 best offer. I probably overpaid, as I am apt to do, but I decided not to gamble on submitting the couple 89 Upper Deck RJ rookies I already have because I'm not sure they're 9+ material.
I've been wanting a high grade RJ for years, and I figured this beat taking a risk on grading fees and having mine come back 9's. Not to mention, he's getting closer to 300 wins, and the prices for this card in high grade when he achieves that mark will undoubtedly be higher.
Across the board 9.5's don't seem to show up on eBay often. Even the ones with 10 subgrades seem to have a 9 for corners or surface. A full on 4x10 is out of my price range, so I shot for the next best bet.
You could say, between being lazy and being a Mariners fan that I've been waiting to get this specific card for 19 years!
Scans don't do this card justice. None of those scratches and scuffs in the scan are actually on the card. The card itself looks PERFECT. I don't know what magnification Beckett uses, but the corners look sharp as blades to me and the centering and surface are perfect front and back.
As you can see, there are some tiny scratches on the holder near the top of the card which are near-impossible to see with the naked eye, but show up when a scanner's intense light hits them. In the original auction, the seller's scan made it look like there was some sort of white mark on the card. As it turns out, it's just the way the light hits that particular blemish on the holder. I think the seller could've realized his $75 Buy It Now if his scanner's "eyesight" wasn't so good.
I may submit the card to be re-holdered if the scratches ever bother me... probably not, since right now I have to go stand under a halogen and tilt it just-so to see them.
Nolan Ryan & Edgar Martinez are my favorite players...
Very cool and historical Heenan card, Wondo. I come across boxing cards all the time while searching for 1948 Leaf football and find myself wanting to pick some up despite not being much of a boxing fan. They just seem greatly underappreciated to me.
A few of my nicer arrivals this week, starting with a couple short printed big names for my 1997 Leaf Signature 8x10 autograph set:
And a few additions to my 1948 Leaf and 1955 TAA sets:

Knock out Brown looks like he is about 8 years old.

That is a nice card of Braun/Pence and Tulo.
Too bad that the stickers had to run over their faces. Still really nice.
