Thanks...I just picked up the Musial too...i think the three will look very nice together (musial, jackie, teddy)...

Edit to add...I sure hope that Microsoft 20-25% thing works...they owe me about $350...i probably wouldn't have bought these at their asking prices without that discount...I guess I will keep my fingers crossed for the next 60 days like several others here....

Definitely bought the card and not the holder on this one. Picked it up for my HOF set. Just a 7 with a bit of a diamond cut, but as tough it is to find a clean, decently centered copy of this bugger, I'll take it.

This one finally came in the mail - the first HOF T3 in quite some time. Eddie Collins.

It's got a crease - but all in all a presentable T3 for the money.

I have and probably won't ever start a thread on ebay woes - but this guy was annoying - auction ended July 1st and I didn't contact to ask if/when shipped till July 17th - then again July 19th and again July 22nd - no word - then the card came in the mail today in a bubble envelope and no cardboard - very risky for a T3.

With the current climate - a person might consider negging him for poor communication and packaging. Not worth it - tho I won't be giving him any FB.

    Thanx for viewing.

Congrats on knocking down another T3, Mike! That must be quite a display you have of them. (that is if you are displaying them) Do you already have the Cobb? The Collins is great!

Card is really thick so the seller sent it in some crappy case that was luckily taped up. I brought it to the card shop when I picked up my box of Ginter today and the owner of the shop hooked me up with this new holder for free.

Well, I really missed that bat-off 4.5...such a sweet card, but I did just pick this one up with the paypal/ebay 10% off and my amex 1% off for a total of 11% off.

It will have to do until i find another nice bat-off cobb.

EDIT TO ADD: Nice cracker jacks, that HR Baker is especially clean!

Will provide better scan on arrival.

    So much incredible stuff!

But, Cardcounter - that Rose is pure sweetness for an 8!

MD - as usual sweet vintage stuff - the CJ's are a favorite of mine.

hof - I'ld be totally proud to have that Cobb!

Goot - that's an interesting card - that was nice of the guy to give you the holder - tho - perhaps a bit ubiquitous - I always liked cards like that.

    Thanx for sharing

    Thanx Yank!

No - don't have the room to display them - unfortunately - they're kept in the closet for now and brought out to show off - most of the time, I just show someone the registry.

    Someday?

    WHAT A SURPRISE...
I Just won this yesterday and it arrived today.
Shipping was free, and no mention of free OVERNIGHT Shipping.
They spent $17.50 on shipping, plus it is much nicer in hand than the scan they provided.
The centering is hard to beat....quite happy...

What a great thread this is! Beautiful stuff everyone, I just love comming in here and seeing what everyone has picked up recently.

Hofautos, love the Teddy Ballgame and the Cobb. I'm jealous of the Ted card, thats a sweet card.

Goot, love the Braves items you are collecting. I love the old Braves teams and collect some of those items myself. Nice pickups.

Yankeeno7, that 62 Musial is sweet! I love vintage cards autographed, thats a beauty.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to scan and post to share with the rest of us.

Last winter I picked up 2 uncorrected proof copies of David Ortiz's book, "Big Papi" (which I would recommend to any Red Sox fan or Papi fan). Last week I heard on the local news that he would be doing a rehab stint with the Portland Sea Dogs which is a few hours from me. I wanted to go, but the games were sold out. I decided to mail off one copy with a letter to David asking him to sign my book. I didn't get my hopes up, but I had to at least try. So I sent it off with a nice letter and a return sase. Today my mail man brings it back. My wife, who is a huge Papi fan, was as anxious to open the envelope as I was to see if he signed it. This is what we found.

I'd take that Drysdale over most 7's. Nice pickup!!!! If you don't mind saying, what'd you pay for it?

Thanks. The hammer price was $114.50, but I used the 10% eBay coupon on it and ended up paying $106.05 delivered.

awhile for...besides those, I am done for at least a month...I hope i can stay away that long...its so addicting....
