Did anyone else picture axhole, veins and eyes bulging typing away his nonsense? (his legs do not reach the floor) With every word he gets madder and madder until his head (you pick one) explodes.

The yanks have the higest payroll, queen george, yankee fans expect to win every year, bla bla bla bla bla.

    rofl.

reality is, he is the easy mark.

Hey Hole get some class and write about the Mariners. I'd be interested to know a lil about them. Maybe you could use that pent up energy you seem to have and chat about them for once.

    Good for you.

It's no 'hating', it's not 'jealousy', its funny to me when the yankees, with their infinite money, can't piece together a decent pitching staff. How much is unit making this year? And he's sporting over a 5 ERA?

Small was supposed to be part of the yankee pitching revival (or so I heard), and his ERA is what, 14?

You guys make me smile. Thanks for being such easy marks. >>

Axhole, you're an easy target to bury. So, here I go again making you look like the IDIOT that you are with little or no true following of baseball and live off your Yankees hatred....anyway, here is where I get to bury you.

SO FAR, this season...as small as a sample it may be (but you are the one spouting about Yanks pitchers performances) here is the leagues ERA by team so far this season:
    Tigers 3.40
    Cardinals 3.52
    Mets 3.59
    YANKEES 3.88
    Padres 3.89
    Diamondbacks 4.04
and the list spirals down from there.

Yes, thats right! Yankees ERA so far this season is the leagues 4th BEST. That isnt just the AL, its all of MLB. Im not bragging because there is plenty of season to go...but since you want to talk about performance thus far, you can take this FACT and shove it little man! Is it eating at you? Are you rithing in pain? The jealousy hurts doesnt it! Ooooo sooo much hatred in you, young Jedi!YANKEES 3.88

Please. You are going to spout off team ERA less than 2 months into the season as a trend? When your boy, little unit, has an ERA over 5?

Team ERA last year was 4.52, and who exactly on that team is going to be better this year than last? Mussina may very well, but we'll see if at 37 years old he can maintain it, as his career ERA is nearly a full point higher than what he's throwing at now, and he's not exactly a spring chicken.

Chacon's ERA is nearly 4, your boy Wang is 4.83, and the aforemention unit's over 5.00.

So if you want to boast about your team's awe inspiring staff, I suggest you look at the individuals starting every 4th day, because aside from Mussina, (and I'll quote Tony K. here) they STINK.

If they stink then what does that say for the Mariners staff Axhole ? I know your future HOF pic Felix is dominating the league with his near 5 ERA. Or is that just a conspiracy cooked up by the big bad NY media too ?

Seems the only ones who hate are (a) you yankee fans (who can't deal with a reality check that the yankees aren't the end-all, be-all team your media makes them out to be), and (b) eagle fans who can't deal with the fact that the Bucs have won a super bowl while their vaunted Eagles team has choked away 4 chances at it.

Ax, nobody here has stated that being a fan of the Yankees is the only thing in life. What, because you dont like them people arent allowed to be fans ? Nobody would have a damn word to say about any of this if you didnt come on here every day bashing the Yankees. Do we come on here bashing any other team ? We come on here and bash and ridicule you because you try every way your small brain knows how to tell us why WE shouldnt root for them. The only one on these boards that ridicules anyone for being a fan is YOU. When was the last post ridiculing ANY team other than the Yankees ? Try waking from YOUR haze and realize that the only person bashing anyone for being a fan of a team is you. You have an incredible knack for throwing stones in glass houses. You tell us there is more to life ? Well, news flash, there is more to life than coming on here and bashing the yankees. Maybe you can start by talking about your team.

Comparing the success of the Mariners to the dominance of the Yankees is like saying Miguel Batista is better than Albert Pujols. Sure, Batista might have struck him out once, but Pujols has likely taken him deep several times.

I really think you try to out-stupid yourself with every post.

1995, Mariners in their first playoff series, the 'mighty' yankees come to town and take 2 games. The mariners storm back, and take 3 games in a row in one of the most exciting series finales ever, cementing Griffey Jr.'s place as one of the all time greats.

I am sorry your selective amnesia has blocked out this (obviously) very painful memory. Invariably, you are wrong! Again and again and again you fall short, ya dope.

And you want to talk about tainted records? Shall we wipe out the yankees seasons in which Sheffield and/or Giambi played for them? If not, shut yer yap about 2001, ya goon.

What's it like to be shot down time and again, WP?

In 1995 the Yankees were anything BUT "mighty" image At that point they were still just emerging into a 4 time World Champion AND if Buck Showalter had any clue about a young Mariano Rivera that series was the Yankees. Imagine, replacing Rivera who was BLOWING AWAY the M's with the likes of Jack McDowell in that game 5. THAT was Bucks ticket out of NY. Failing to see how Rivera was dominating the M's like evrybody else could see.

You must be smoking, to suggest Rivera was a better option in 95 than Rivera. Let's take your revisionist history out of the mix, and look at FACTS:

Fact, in 1995, Rivera's ERA was 5.51, nearly a full run worse than the league ERA. He was a young, dumb rookie (like most rookies) and would have been overwhelmed in the postseason.

Only a idiot like yourself who DID NOT WATCH the series would try and dispute it.

    IDIOT >>

Really? He was blowing away the M's in game 5?

Line for Rivera from game 5:

    Rivera 0.2 1 0 0 1 1 0

2 outs! He was 'BLOWING' away the Ms, huh? Walking one, striking one out, and allowing a hit? You are such a dope, you can't even get your own team's facts straight.

Now let's see how you try to spin this one.

marino rivera's stats from that BLOWN series by Buck Showalter.

    5.3 innings pitched
    1 walk
    8 strikeouts

This indeed was the bunch of games in which Rivera emerged. To try and dispute that by STUPIDLY bringing up his REGULAR season numbers when he was a STARTING PITCHER highlites for the 1,000th time how much of a moron Axtell is.

    Which would that be, asshat?

Yes he was, IDIOT. He came in the game in the 8th inning and MOWED down two hitters with TREMENDOUS ease. The fact that Showalter sat him down in the 9th is the ONLY reason your M's came away as lucky as the Irish.

You don't know what you are talking about you IDIOT. I would be happy to send you my tape of game 5 so you can watch it for the FIRST time and see how DUMB it was for Showalter to take out the emerging Rivera.

    It would be this:

    ohh ok...........

    let me post it again...........

DAN SAID: The Mariners at their best don't match up to the Yanks at their worst Remember that regular season record for wins they set? Ha, washed into nothing as the Yankees trounced them.

    YOU SAID: (after quoting him)

And I see your selective amnesia has set in again.

Remember the yankees being up 2 games to none and the mariners came back and swept them right out of the series?

Ha, washing into nothing as the mariners trounced them.

Now any reasonable person (which you ain't) would think that you were replying to what you quoted him saying.

And then I said: They did? I then went on and POSTED what happened in 2001 (the yr the Mariners won 116 tainted games and were BEAT by the Yanks 4 to 1 in the Division series.

    Got it now ya dope?

He got 2 outs, then gave the ball to who had a much better regular season.

I am sorry you can't see this, but your attempt at saying YOU would be a better manager than Showalter is laughable. As they say, hindsight is 20/20.
