Was on site waiting 15 minutes before. They put me in waiting room for 10 minutes. There is no way there were 17,000+ people logged in to buy a $3,600 coin more than 15 minutes before. No way. I'm done.
They are making a joke out of all of these new offerings with changed procedures, functionalities, websites, etc. Forget it!!!
You had to be quick to get one today. That couldn't possibly be a sellout in four minutes. Seriously?? It has to be some other cause. Or could it be really gone? There's always 7:30 AM if you're really fast!
The page didn’t refresh at noon..so I refreshed it and my initial waiting room time was 3 minutes…then 4, then 5, then 7…and when it finally let me in they were sold out. The mint is becoming a big joke…but they sure take care of their big customers and are making them a LOT of money.

That's right. This was the last straw for me. I hated the way they handled that $20K gold coin in 2020-W. And this was just pathetic. At a limit of 1 with a price of $3600 there is no way that 17,500 collectors were wanting and waiting to buy 15 minutes prior to issue.

I had the exact same experience. I was logged in at 11:30. Frustrating to say the least
From what I understand, it doesn't matter when you were logged into the US Mint site, your position in the VWR is randomized among all the folks on the site at that time. My waiting time was estimated at two minutes, but I was able to purchase one and be off the site with an email confirmation by 12:01. It worked as they said for me.

What will the secondary market % markup be for these be ungraded? Really want to buy one but curious if I would take a loss if I have buyers remorse haha.
Also, sorry if this has been answered, but how are there already slabbed versions available to buy on ebay?
You can hedge these. They come with a return label and you'll receive a full refund.
Especially noteworthy if gold craters next week, they don't sell-out, the secondary markets collapse, etc.
Thanks. Managed to get one. Most expensive coin I've ever bought
I went to the mint page a minute or so prior to 12:00, was in the waiting room for maybe 1 or 2 minutes, and was able to complete the purchase with no issues. I figured there wasn't a ton of demand due to the ease of the transaction...

With a HHL of 1 at $3640 and 17,500 available? Smells like dead fish. Next week we'll hear they only struck 5,000 (previous reports were inaccurate) and aren't making more because demand was so high!
I just went in and ordered something different at 20 past the hour to get a high order # and I am seeing only a 7000 spread from the low number posted .

Had one in my bag. Couldn't even checkout with it. That sucks.
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.

Mint rep says she has a few hundred gold FH here.
Line is huge.
How can it be gone? 17,500 really? Where is @NJCoin opinion with this?

Wow that was a waste of time. Was in waiting room 10 minutes early sold out instantly.
Your sentiments are well understood.
Maybe they goofed and started sending out the Privies by mistake...and had to halt the whole process.
wow.....sold out in 3 minutes !!!!!!
Thanks GOD I managed to order one......

In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
How many of the total already were out to or reserved for the "special" customers who don't wait in line or have product limits?
Need more order #'s. Not many ordered from low # to the high order #
I logged in at 11:58, put into the waiting room, at 12:01 was out of the waiting room, purchased one at 12:02 #USM14928XXX and at 12:03 UNAVAILABLE.

That is not actual "confirmation". That is order "received" by the Mint.
My US Mint Commemorative Medal Set
I look forward to his explanation of how they tricked him into being wrong.
Good golly, that was fast and vicious.
Unexpected and unprecedented for the price!
Y’all got tomorrow am to single or double down.
Do these ship right away or will there be a delay in shipping?
Both are confirmed**
The Mint sure does hit the C.C. fast, 3 seconds after hitting the place order button
my bank hits me with a text alert of my purchase. WOW!
The only people who don't wait in line are the ABPP buyers and they will report that number separately, so you'll know.
That would put latest reported bigbucks 293XX -22xxx in line with 7k
