Facts: the new england patriots haven't won a playoff game in coming up on 7 years.
Facts: the only QB to ever win a super bowl for NE is long gone.
Facts: the Patriots are irrelevant.
Look at all of those big words, good for you! 😉👍
Good. Let the hate flow through you. You're probably used to it, with the Patriots looking up from the bottom of the standings for each of the last 6 years.

I read that some in chiefs land have hopes that the ACL is not torn. I would be very surprised. usually the presence of severe swelling points to an ACL or MCL tear. Rice has experienced so much swelling that they have been unable to clearly see the ligament and we are nearing a week out.
Saw a report yesterday from a pretty reputable source saying that the Chiefs (and Bills) are interested in dealing for Davante Adams if LV would be willing to eat some of his salary. Adams would be a huge get for either team.

That would be my guess too. When I tore my PCL it was swollen for a while. I guess they could maybe drug him up to get him back out there in a month or so but I would say theres a better chance his season is over

Can't argue with 4-0. Congrats on the Chiefs three-peat. That's quite an accomplishment.
Wait a second, I almost forgot, the season is actually 17 games long, and last time I checked, there were still playoff games?
Still a long way to go, and I still think because of the wear and tear of playing two full seasons. IE more games than the rest of the NFL players, that the Chiefs will tire out as the season wears on, probably make the playoffs, and then likely lose their first playoff game.
5-0 now. I still am not seeing them as a juggernaut just yet. the san fran game after their bye should be a good one. 2 weeks to get rested and schemed up.

Chiefs just seem to find a way to win every game. Credit where credit is due.
That being said, i'm still not a believer that they will three-peat. I think the wear and tear of playing all those extra games over the past two seasons, will soon begin to take affect this season.
I think those extra games have absolutely no effect because they’re young and in great physical condition.
The defense had an incredible goal line stand yesterday against the raiders. Kelce is still Kelce and it looks like Hopkins could be an amazing pick up as he and Mahomes get more comfortable with each other on the field. As is the Chiefs custom, it appears they are getting better as the season progresses.

Yeah, I’m cool with Jason standing up for his brother like this, this guy is lucky that it’s only his phone that got damaged and not his face.
Sorry to say that it seems like Jason may have early symptoms of CTE. Not surprising the way for years, he gave up his body on every play for the Eagles by efficiently blocking, etc.
This was without question a poor decision on Jason's part. Firstly, he is definitely going to be charged with destroying the guy's property. No big problem, a misdemeanor and fine, Jason can well afford it. The guy might sue for the time and effort it will take him to reprogram a new phone, logging in the phone numbers, also lost stored pictures and info, etc. No problem either for Jason, likely under 10k which is peanuts for him.
Punching the guy in the face? I hope you're kidding. The damage that a big strong guy like Jason could do to him would be horrific. Possibly many years of reconstructive surgery, and pain and suffering. After the winning lawsuit and attorney fees, Jason would definitely be worth a lot less money than he has now. And to top it off, Jason might have to serve at least some time in prison for it.
Jason should have just ignored the guy and walked away. Perhaps a quick loud verbal retort of sorts would have been sufficient to get his point across while sticking up for his brother.

I hope to checkmate the Chiefs this season. But so far I'm not doing so well. That being said, it's getting close to that mid-season point whereby the toll of the past two seasons and this season should negatively affect their performance.

That wasn't checkmate when the guy your referring to is dead and buried, literally. As for checkmating the Chiefs, you might want to bury that one too because that one doesn't seem to be going to well for you lol.

Oh I fully agree with ya about the perpetrators. They both pulled the tiger by the tail, and hence the result.
But millionaire athletes in those situations need to retain self-control. Otherwise the tables get turned on them in a brief fit of anger. Often winding up at the very least costing them a lot of money.
I recall Charles Barkley once punched a guy in the face at a bar. I forget the entire story, but I think the guy had threatened Barkley or something to that effect. So in the eyes of the law, i think that case was considered self-defense. Barkley thought the guy was about to hit him, so Barkley fired first. Whereby in the cases of Kelce and Embiid, there was clearly no physical threat, so no violence should have been necessary on their part.
Pro athletes from previous eras are pretty lucky that they didn't have every idiot that they walked by recording them on their phone, stuff like this probably happened quite a bit back then there was just no video evidence to prove it.
Embiid (by the NBA) & Kelce (possibly in court) may both lose money after this but I doubt that it hurts them in any way financially. Embiid iss due to make from 51 to 69M a season over the next 4-5 years.

I could easily envision Mantle, Billy Martin, and others from that team, drinking at the clubs and bars they frequented, and getting into some scuffles from time to time with other drunken patrons. In those days, ya may have shoved or even thrown a few punches, and it was quickly forgotten about. Sadly nowadays, almost everybody out there wants to sue one another.

Charles Barkley threw the man through a window, like you see in the old Westerns or Beverly Hills Cop. Lol
Didn't he also attempt to spit on some older heckler and ended up hitting a kid? Do that in 2024 and the player would get vilified for weeks.
