Love watching these games between these two

I was happy to see Buffalo win but most importantly I wanted to see a good game.

I’m waiting for Steve’s next prediction.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,159 ✭✭✭✭✭

Credit where credit is due. The Chiefs played a good game, just made a few costly mistakes. They played hard until the final snap and didn't quit an inch.

Still a lot of season left to play. But it seems like there's going to be some very entertaining playoff games coming up, in both conferences. 👍

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,209 ✭✭✭✭✭

Congrats to 2deuces and bills fans.. they played better and deserved the win. And great play at the end when they went for it and got the TD instead of taking the field goal.

Still KC is 9-1 and in great position to win the division. What really concerns me is the Broncos and Chargers have bona fide head coaches now and both teams are playing great. Not going to be as easy winning division titles now.

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,209 ✭✭✭✭✭

People say once your team wins a Super Bowl or two that after that it’s Super Bowl or bust. In fact thisistheshow told me that exact thing. I said maybe for some but not me. This division title streak is very important to me and I’m extremely proud of the Chiefs for this and hope it continues in perpetuity

very exciting to watch 2 talented QB's battle right to the end.

  • craig44craig44 Posts: 11,350 ✭✭✭✭✭

going for it on 4th down before the 2 minute warning took some major guts. we all know how it turned out, but think of the position the Bills would have been in had they not converted. up by 2 points with Mahomes only needing what 40 or so yards to be in position to win with a field goal.

the Bills really put it all on the line on that one play. Allen is such an entertaining player to watch. I see a lot of John Elway in him. I feel like the Bills always have a chance with him taking the snaps.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

that is the right attitude to have.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,159 ✭✭✭✭✭

Mahomes had a slim but decent chance at maybe one day receiving a few votes for the Hall of Fame. However by using all that profanity which is inappropriate and unacceptable to do under any circumstances, he has now lost all chance of ever receiving even one vote.

Yes, I was just in a mood to hiss off Chiefs fans. 😂

  • craig44craig44 Posts: 11,350 ✭✭✭✭✭

I like that attitude in a player. leave it all out there on the field/court. Reid did the right thing by forcing the issue. often, players have to be protected from themselves. Imagine the extra damage Mahomes may have done had that ankle been broken or had there been some other sort of bad injury down there. it could have effected the rest of his career.

I have always felt that players should play hurt. they should not play injured.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

It'll probably be a blowout, but that would sure be funny if the Chiefs lost to the Panthers on Sunday. I'd be posting every laughing emoji available after that one.

What the yell, even if the Chiefs just win a relatively close game, I may still do it anyway just for the fun of it.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,159 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Chiefs 27
    Panthers 27

1:46 left to go. Chiefs get the ball. Let's see if cussin' Pat can work his magic against arguably the worst team in the league.

Can the new kicker hit on a clutch field goal? We may shortly see.

Chip shot FG for the Chiefs win...coming up.

Well the Chiefs coming off a loss, win it 30-27 against a now 3-8 team.

Sure doesn't seem like a 3-peat team to me.

  • craig44craig44 Posts: 11,350 ✭✭✭✭✭

this game was certainly surprising. I figured it would be a blowout

Looked like it might be a blowout in certain parts of the game. Credit where credit is due, the Panthers kept clawing back.

After this season ends, they still won't know.

The season hasn’t ended….. any reasonable talk of a ‘major’ collapse should have ended with the Chiefs at 10-1.
And thinking ahead a little, I know in your mind anything short of kc winning the SB will be a major collapse simply because you will be able to gloat about this thread. In reality losing to a tough team like Buffalo would be far from a major collapse and to say otherwise would be complete disrespect to them.
Other than Buffalo, I think the Ravens are the only other AFC team with a chance to keep the Chiefs from going to the SB but they’ve been inconsistent.

  • bgrbgr Posts: 1,872 ✭✭✭✭✭

There was a team years ago that won every game and then lost the Superbowl to the greatest QB of all time Eli Manning. Soon to be HOFer!

I don’t even remember who that other team was after their Super Bowl collapse. Their QB had a familiar name.

Anyways. This reminds me of Icarus.

    Please continue Steve.

If the Chiefs don't 3-peat, Taylor will dump Travis and that would be a major collapse. Chiefs would need to find another aging singer mascot. Is Madonna available?

Ya know I may even begin rooting for the Chiefs to make it to the Super Bowl. So the Eagles can kick their arze in the big game. I might enjoy that even better.

Report: Raiders QB Gardner Minshew out for season with broken collarbone

Gee, guess who the Chiefs are playing in their upcoming game? Chiefs haven't been lucky this season huh? It's really just plain silly to believe that.

Yeah really lucky we lost 2 starting wide receivers and a defensive back for the season.
And why exactly does the Raiders losing Minshew translate into good luck for the chiefs? They’ve already beaten him and the Raiders once this season and Aidan is probably better anyway.
I’ll answer that. Because you look for any stupid reason other than the Chiefs being a very good team to account for their success.
They beat the Eagles in the SB… get over it and move on instead of continuing with this pathetic crap you post here.

The Patriots beat the Eagles in a Super Bowl, but then the Eagles got revenge some years later.

I'd simply love to see the same thing happen with the Chiefs. Certainly isn't beyond the realm of possibility. Both the Chiefs and Eagles are now among the top three teams favored to win the upcoming Super Bowl. The Lions are the top favorite right now.

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,209 ✭✭✭✭✭

The best ending to this thread would be the Chiefs beating the Eagles again in the Super Bowl. 😂

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,209 ✭✭✭✭✭

I wouldn’t count on getting your revenge Steve… the Eagles are 1-3 all time in the Super Bowl. Not exactly a confidence builder there.
You should probably hope they don’t make it so they don’t go 1-4.

KC with yet another soft game coming up in a few minutes. Impossible to jinx this game, so I'm not even gonna try.

Chiefs now 11-1. Yes, technically a good record. But it's gotta be the luckiest 11-1 record in NFL history. Not even debatable.

Will the Chiefs incredible good luck continue? We shall see.
