    Philadelphia Eagles: +475
    Detroit Lions: +475
    Kansas City Chiefs: +600
    Baltimore Ravens: +800
    Minnesota Vikings: +1200

Oops - Chiefs dropped into 4th place.

Good news for Mahomes fan club members.

Chiefs just jumped to -3 in the odds. Which means he is expected to play on Saturday.

How well will he do, we shall see.

    this is too good

during one play last Sunday, Trent McDuffie looked up at the jumbotron on a scramble drill and saw Jameis Winston rolling to his side and uncorking one, so he immediately turned around...........and picked it off

    That's hilarious!

Winston would be great if he didn't throw interceptions lol

word is Patrick will be playing tomorrow

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,423 ✭✭✭✭✭

Patrick will play. Taylor Swift maybe kissed his boo-boo injury and all is well. Taylor has magical healing powers say her Chiefs fans. LOL

How this will affect his performance today, we shall soon see.

Mahomes with a rushing touchdown today. And 27 yards total rushing already.

Yea his leg was really bothering him. What a phony bunch of B-chit that was. LOL

I am watching the KC - Houston game off an on. As usual KC gets every break. Houston scores a TD and losign a prime wide receiver in the process. Then they miss the PAT which gives KC a big a advantage.

I'm tired of the whole KC crew, espeically Talor Swift.

I can't wait for the Pittsburg - Baltimore game to get started.

As my good old Mom used to say about actor William Holden: Taylor Swift can put her slippers under my bed anytime she wants too. She could also kiss my many boo-boos.

I don't know if the Kansas City Chiefs are just a really good team, if they are just really lucky, if they have a monopoly on smoke-and-mirrors, if they have a soft schedule, if God especially loves them or whatever else you can think up because you're somehow bothered by their success. But the bottom line, and I'm a bottom line guy, is that they keep figuring out a way to the "W" column. At the end of the season that's all that matters. Going all the way back to September, through everything that happens during the season, the only thing that really counts is who wins the last game.

To be honest, @stevek, I can't understand why you would even think about the Chiefs. If my team was the Philadelphia Eagles I wouldn't be able to think of much else after "We've won 10 in a row and our record is 12-2" and pinching myself!! I'm a Browns fan, we don't even allow ourselves to dream about 12-2. Take it from someone who has suffered enough and enjoy your team's success while they're having it and not 10 years from now as a memory. :p

Maywood… you’re a Browns fan and know a lot about your team. I’m a Chiefs fan and know a lot about my team. Stevek is an Eagles fan and knows a lot about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
He never posts any analysis about Philly because he doesn’t know anything about them. He only knows the odds on the SB. He knows where Taylor’s next concert is but natta on the Eagles.
As far as KC, getting Hollywood Brown back is huge. He had 5 catches and will be a key receiver for the playoffs.

The reality is that Andy Reid is a great coach. I stated this many years ago, and some laughed about it, that Andy Reid is a hall of fame coach. Since then, he is now obviously a first ballot hall of fame coach, likely unanimous. I bring that up because of course he has a lot to do with the wins. Reid manages to squeeze every last drop out of the talent he has, and usually outsmarts the other coaches during the games. And certainly Patrick Mahomes is a big factor as well.

I am very much enjoying this time with the Eagles doing well. Hopefully it continues. 😊

Or is Reid like Belichick? Belichick was on the fast track to the Hall of Fame until there was no Brady. Where is Reid with no Homes?

That is a valid comparison of Belichick and Reid, as to their relationship with Brady and Mahomes.

Mahomes won’t be playing the last game since home field advantage is wrapped up now. After a slow start he finished strong, in the last 10 games he has 20 TD passes and 3 interceptions. He did what he said he needed to do, take better care of the ball by reducing the turnovers.
With Xavier coming on strong and Hollywood Brown fitting in perfectly and Travis still big time the receiving corps is formidable for the playoffs.

As of 12/24 - Just a guess, Chiefs off their
win today may now be around +300

Perhaps the Ravens around +650 off
    their win today

    Kansas City Chiefs: +400
    Detroit Lions: +400
    Buffalo Bills: +500
    Philadelphia Eagles: +600
    Baltimore Ravens: +800
    Minnesota Vikings: +1000
    Green Bay Packers: +1200

Pittsburg is looking weaker and weaker as the season winds down.

The other teams who played KC, even Carolina, made a game of it. Pittsburg was dead in the water.

Very odd line on the Chiefs in their upcoming game at +9 which basically equates to an automatic loss. Especially because Reid stated that he would be playing the starters.

I didn't see the details of the story. But it's an easy guess that Reid will likely only "play" the starters for perhaps one or two series at the most, which is what that +9 line basically says.

I wonder if the bookies will cap the ML wagering on this game? Bookies generally don't like handing out free money.

That was the story I read yesterday, the story may have been from Friday or Saturday. Now I just read where Reid stated that he will rest his key starters. I guess Andy smartened up.

Line now at +9.5 - the big boys are jumping on that free money. LOL

The funny thing is that I doubt Reid will play Wentz all that much, considering his career long propensity for getting injured. Perhaps the first half at the most.

I'm guessing it will be the third string QB who will see the most action for the Chiefs in this upcoming game.

Wentz should play the whole game. Third string QB….. I don’t even think we have one this year.
I would guess one of the tight ends would be third string QB if it came to that but I don’t know.

I would be careful betting on any of these last games unless the team you’re betting on is battling for a playoff spot. Chiefs, Bills really have nothing to gain and I’m sure several other teams.

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,291 ✭✭✭✭✭

    I see the over-under on Chiefs-Broncos is 38.5
I would be tempted to take my chances and bet the over. If KC rests a lot of starters on defense I could easily see Denver scoring 28-31 points so that would leave KC only needing 8-11 points.

They do have a QB, Chris Oladokun, on their practice squad.

If Wentz gets hurt, it would be interesting to see who plays QB. But of course since it's a meaningless game, nobody cares except for the gambling aspect. Crazy as it sounds, this game might get a lot of action in Vegas.

Weird situation for me. My first thought is I DO NOT want the Bengals to make the playoffs and if Denver wins that would guarantee Cincy is out. But I don’t want KC to lose whether it’s meaningless or not so I have a conundrum on my hands. 😂
Perfect situation for me, Chiefs beat Broncos and Bengals lose to Steelers.
