ever year since Tyreek left KC he's watched his old team being sized for rings, and i think it's getting to him

don't feel the least bit sorry for him

you chose the loot instead of the chips, so lie in the bed you made

and whatever happened to the race against Noah Lyles? i was dying to watch Tyreek reading the bottom of his shoes

@perkdog, I have no empathy whatsoever for Buffalo or that stupid "Mafia" crap they have going on with fans.

Many New York State taxpayers took a dim view of their Governor handing over 500 million towards their new stadium. And the state is covering the maintenance of said stadium.
I recall a video last year of Bills fans in the pre game festivities in the parking lots, showing fans jumping off car roofs onto collapsible tables. Some tables were on fire.

Vikings laid another prime time egg last night - that's six losses in a row on the road in prime time.

    Lions deserved to win.

The silver lining for the Vikings is Darnold's abhorent performance should squash any talk of him sticking around next year.

    >
    >
It was the first really big game of his career. He looked too pumped up. Understandable. KOC could have recleived some pressure by kicking field goals instead of going for it on 4th down. The result would have been a lead at halftime. Let's not forget kicking the ball out of bounds right after a FG and giving the Lions the ball at the 40. I had noticed he kicked it almost out of bounds on the previous kick off. Makes no sense, that's on the coach.

It was always a transition year for me and this will be McCarthy's team week #1 in 2025.

It was a heck of a "transition year", playing for the division in week 17. There's no guarantee McCarthy will ever lead the team with that kind of success. I don't trust the draft choices of this regime.

The Vikings desperately need to get stronger/bigger on the OL and DL - it's been like this for years on end. They have tons of cap space and only 3, possibly 4 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Go get some bigger interior OL and a stout DT to compete with the likes up front of Philly and Detroit.

    >

TOTALLY AGREE! The Vikings basically ignored the offensive line for years. O'Neil was the exception, and now Darisaw looks good, but the guards and especially Bradbury at center do not pass block well. At least they signed Risner to help. It would be nice to get a stud at defensive tackle. They aren't easy to come by, but that would really help the defense.

I think it is the Eagles conference to win. AFC is a crap shoot - cheering for Bills.

Bills/Vikings would be my choice, Bills/Lions second. Of course hoping for a Vikings victory.

Not all Bills mafia are idiots. Most just normal fans that love the Bills. Mix alcohol, youth and a crowd and every stadium will have its morons. I’ve seen some pretty bad behavior from Patriots fans, Eagles fans but don’t group them all as bad.

It looked obvious that the end zone play should have been a safety.

I don't understand people thinking it should have been a safety. The ball went right past Jahmyr Gibbs and they ruled there was a receiver in the vicinity, thus no penalty. Far more obvious was the play Darnold made where he threw a ball 25 yards away from anybody that wasn't called grounding.

I do agree that KOC did Darnold no favors with the playcalling. Where were the quick slants? Where were the screens to Aaron Jones? Any kind of play that didn't take 4 seconds to setup?

I watched a short clip of his quote last night and it really sounded more like he was venting about maybe not making the playoffs than it was about absolutely wanting out of Miami but today its being posted everywhere that he wants out.

He's done. Mike McDaniel in his postgame press conference basically said that Tyreek quit during the game. Supposedly the Dolphins are going to try and void his contract.

Looked like Goff was just throwing the ball to the ground and not trying to get the ball to the receiver. Smart play actually. I didn't think it was grounding at first, but the replay changed my mind.

No good answer on the Darnold throw, maybe make up for not calling one on Goff?

To be clear, that's NOT why the Vikings lost.

Darnold had a bad start, KOC had a horrible game and the offense as a unit did nothing in the second half.

    Cowboys released Zeke

had to be one of the worst offseason signings ever

hey how about we pair up Dak with Derrick Henry next year? nah, i really like the way Ezekiel Elliott runs a 5.0 forty now

exhibit A why JJ sucks, why Dallas sucks, and it's the same script every year

and btw the Chargers just got drunk and signed Zeke for the playoffs

    Interesting chart posted by Galaxy27.

Of the 32 NFL teams only 7 teams (Browns - 1989; Raiders and Jets - 2002; Dolphins - 2008; Chargers - 2009; Giants - 2011; and Colts - 2014) have not won a division title in the last 10 years.

This shows that the NFL does have a level of parity that is likely much, much higher than MLB (which seems to have some dominant franchises and a large number of franchises that are always doormats). I wonder how the NHL and the NBA compare?

In 1989 the Browns beat Buffalo to set-up the 3rd installment of "lose to Denver in the AFC Championship Game" which by that time was an annual tradition!! John Elway had their number for sure.

So here’s a bracket showing the Chiefs will play the winner of the Texans/Chargers game.
Is that set in stone or do they play the lowest remaining seed after the first round games are completed. For instance if the Broncos beat the Bills would it be Broncos/Chiefs?

The bracket is re-seeded after the first round of games, so the Chiefs would play the lowest remaining seed left.

Re-seeding like that seems the proper way to do it and the intent of "seeding" to begin with, giving the presumed best team the easiest road to the Championship. It also allows for the best probable Championship game.

The Cleveland Browns have the number 2 pick and I can only pray they don't try to pick a QB from this crop, I don't see anyone worthwhile. Add to that the fact that the Browns have shown clearly that when it comes to QB's they are woefully lacking in their ability to evaluate talent. The names that I keep hear are Shedeur Sanders(please no) and Jalen Milroe(for God's sake, no!!).

I think they should trade the pick for multiple others and move down, let someone else make the mistake they're considering.

Trade down and accumulate draft picks. They have more holes to fill than QB. Next year after the Watson fiasco is over there maybe a QB worthy and the OL might be better

Denver beat the Kansas City JV team. I don’t that will mean much against Buffalo.

If Jimmy Johnson had been allowed to stay and coach, I hate to say it, but the number of records the Cowboys would have today would be insurmountable.

Thank goodness Jerry Jones with his bombastic ego, solved that problem. 😂

I just heard that Deshawn Watson has re torn his Achilles and has had surgery to repair it again. What a terrible move that ended up being by the Browns.
19 games played in the last 3 seasons.

@perkdog, I tend to think pass on the QB's this Draft and follow the course that @2dueces laid out, trade the pick and move down while getting additional picks. The Browns need offensive line help and defensive backfield help. Those guys are available in the later rounds, especially the linemen.

JMHO, Cleveland could benefit just as much from some coaching changes as they can players. They already did that with two releases/firings, this after all the warning from forum members that Dorsey would be a disaster. Getting rid of the o-line coach was a good move but I also think they need to revamp their strength/conditioning program and coaches. Way, way too many injuries for there not to be a connection. Finally, if the team can gain some overall discipline and cut the penalties they'd win some of the close games.

But, what the heck does a fan like me know?? :p

really quite sad what has happened to Watson. the guy was a rock star here in Houston. he, along with JJ Watt, James Harden and Jose Altuve, were the most popular athletes in the city at the time. i will never forget him giving his first NFL paycheck to some cafeteria workers at NRG Stadium whose lives were wrecked by Hurricane Harvey. in fact, i dug it up.👇 so when the sexual assaults surfaced, it was nothing short of shocking to me. dude had never been anything other than top notch off the field until then. i guess you just never know what goes on in someone's personal life. really sad, all of it. from the top of the mountain he did a swan dive into the abyss.

watch the vid attached to the 8-year-old article......it's only about a minute long.

Because as a fan you can see the trees for the forest. The owners are too close to see the real problem is hiring and personnel decisions. They need clean house hire the best and let whatever QB get used to a professional organization for 3or 4 years.
The Bears have a problem because they’re cheap and hire cheap head coaches instead of paying for a Payton or a Harbaugh. Reports were they were interviewing a head coach candidate and purchased him a coach airline ticket.

NE’s is a full grade too high IMO. Their season was a complete failure and they’re now starting over from scratch for the second time in the past 12 months.

Roster-wise there are really just two bright spots to be hopeful for their future, Drake Maye & Christian Gonzalez, and both players fell into their lap in the top 10 picks in each draft.
