Sucks that PSU QB is hurt, was trending towards an epic matchup

Am I correct thinking that Vanderbilt is going to beat the bag out of Auburn?

  • bgrbgr Posts: 1,872 ✭✭✭✭✭

If I’ve learned anything this year about college football from these forums it’s that whoever has the most 3,4,and 5 star recruits should win. That’s all that matters when ranking teams and upsets. So no. They cannot compete with Auburn. According to this logic provided by experts Auburn will score 4x as many points.

This coming from the BIG TEN hater who said before 2023. BIG TEN teams dont deserve to make the playoffs LOL.

The B10 track record in the CFP the last decade was abysmal lol. Of course, the OSU super fan would root for and commend Michigan LOL.

Its not even debatable that the only reason why Oregon won is because they played the 12 man loophole which is now BANNED by the NCAA. Get a clue.

Pretty sure Oregon won because the dropped 32 points on the OSU defense and the OSU QB slid to end the game. You are so delusional it is funny. Not haha funny, funny sad.

So yes the BUCKEYES were tested before they played Oregon. Iowa beat the same team that beat Michigan by 24 points and lost to an undefeated Iowa State team by one point.

Pretty clear based on the big L in the W/L column that OSU wasn't actually prepared but fortunately they get a hobbled PSU this weekend, though they probably beat PSU even if their QB was 100% since Franklin can't seem to coach big games.

Funny how all three (2)-loss teams in the polls are in the SEC.

Ahh, also see that you were whining about 2 loss SEC teams being ranked. The SEC lives rent free in your head.

Of course, there won't be a peep from you when 2-loss B10 teams start showing up in the rankings after the better B10 teams start playing each other.

Auburn is a 7-point favorite and I picked them to win BUT Vandy could pull out a win.

New Mexico State beat the doors off Auburn 31-10 last year with a qb named Diego Pavia.
Diego now plays for Vandy and is pretty good, just ask Bama and Texas.

My question is, can Vandy get up for Auburn after playing Texas last week, it's possible but I pick Auburn in a close one.

    I'm pulling for Vandy.

I’m also pulling for Vanderbilt. Love a Cinderella story. That loss to Texas was a win for that program with their whole season in focus. They could certainly beat Auburn. I think they have more talent than they’re given credit for. As far as predictions go I don’t get too involved in that. I’m sure others here have some satisfying rubric that tells them who will win and a similar process to explain away the predictions that go awry. I think they’re a better team than Auburn but you’re right about a possible hangover.

Pacia got exposed a bit by Texas but hes a good college QB. Like most Auburn games, if their QBs can not lose the game they should win. Thats a lot to ask from that god awful QB room though thats already lost at least 3 games this year on their own

Flip a coin on that one

Even with you being a Penn State fan why would that be? Its not even Ohio States biggest rival

3 PENN is the only team left with a chance to beat #4 OSU :)

    Surely not #13 Indiana.
My prediction is that the Ducks and especially GA will lose at least another game.

OSU QB Will Howard said he is looking VERY forward to facing Penn State. He said he was a Big Penn State fan growing up, but Penn State wouldn't give him the time of day. Ouch!

Ole Miss or Tennessee could get them, unlikely but could especially with how Beck has been playing. Both teams have top notch d lines and are close to UGAs D overall. Ole Miss Oline has struggled. I dont think it will happen since they play better against better teams but Georgia isnt out of the woods just yet

Ten finalists for the Johnny Unitas Golden arm award.

Will Howard' Ohio State, Penn State’s Drew Allar, Georgia’s Carson Beck, Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart, Texas’ Quinn Ewers, Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, Clemson’s Cade Klubnik, Indiana’s Kurtis Rourke, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward

Dumb award that has more to do with being a senior than anything. Johnny U was awesome, but no award that means anything has finalists selected with close to half the season left to play. Johnny U deserves something better that that to be named after him

Ryan Day needs to send Franklin a huge Christmas gift this year. It blows my mind how scared Franklin coaches in real games. How long is PSU going to put up with it?

Time to stop pretending Allar is a good QB as well. Hes a bust. Hes the supposed to be NFL guy that some team will do something stupid with that looks the part but never does anything.

Will Howard might actually be worse than McCord, at best hes just McCord 2.0

Other than the pic six he threw on their first possesion, Will Howard played great. Buckeyes defense played greater..only 6 points allowed. Great win in a tough environment.

You forgot the fumble on the 2 yard line out of the endzone for a touchback.

Howard wasnt close to great, PSU and Franklin just wanted to lose the game more

How about the two big runs he made on that last drive to seal the win?

Yes if he would've protected the ball better, it would've been a blowout.

Ohio State has the best red zone offense in the country.

I'm saying he definitely didnt play great and PSU played worse. HJe really wasnt very good. The only reason that game was close was his pick 6 where the PSU defense outscored their offense.

Franklin calling 3 draw plays in a row on first and goal from the 5, the PSU WR dropping a TD for a pick in the endzone. Allar was terrible too along with the play calling of just 54 yard passes and draw plays over and over

VANDY, first time since 1955 that they beat Bama and Auburn in the same year.

I agree with Cool about the OSU defense, they're pretty good.

I was disappointed about the unsportsmanlike conduct foul called against PSU in the 2nd quarter PSU had held them and would have forced a punt. The foul gave OSU a first down and they went on to score. Good game though.

Nope. That was a big upset alert game just like the Texas Tech Iowa State game. The real USC has a top notch front 7 that gets dismissed because of their schools name. Theyre a very dangerous team as I have been saying for weeks

A&M was barely favored. South Carolina has been a tough match up for everyone other than Ole Miss. They barely lost to LSU and Bama. Their front 7 is very good and they are dangerous especially when their QB Sellers is healthy.

Theyre probably going to win 3 of their last 4 and take out Clemson in the final game of the year for them.

A&M has a QB issue and their star RB also got hurt early in the game. Moss was a big loss and hopefully he will be back but really didnt look great in terms of him coming back any time soon.

ODU was week 1. OSU barely beat Nebraska mid season if you want to use the who barely beat who as a judgement

PSU is going to finish the season without beating a single team that finishes ranked. OSU barely beat a 5-4 Nebraska in the middle of the season who just lost to a bad UCLA team.

You wanted to make it about who barely beat who to discredit the real USC.

None of that has anything to do with how good South Carolina is

Lots of ducks don’t quack. Teals, goldeneyes, buffleheads, canvasbacks, scaup, widgeons and a host of others either chirp, whistle or make other mostly subdued noises.
However….the question specified** “and not exactly walk like a duck”. I have honestly never seen a duck that didn’t walk like one.**
