in all seriousness, and in my opinion as of right now, this move will relegate the Patriots to the basement of the AFC East
when's the last time that happened?
if we hearken back to when Brady left and we got into it over who deserved the lion's share of the credit for the Pats' run, it should be crystal clear now that New England is going to be looking up at the Bills, the Dolphins (!), and the Jets (!!!!!)

This story has become insane, apparently one of Aaron Rodgers teammates, Rasul Douglas, is in possession of Aaron Rodgers phone and tweeted on his account yesterday, making peoole think that it was Aaron Rodgers tweeting. Rasul Douglas wanted to prove that the Packers are in touch with Rodgers. Then Douglas tweeted a picture of Rodgers with his Packers teammates and Rodgers himself "liked" the tweet. This may mean Rodgers is going to stay with the Packers, or retire. To be honest, I'm sick and tired of Aaron Rodgers and his stupid childish head games, the man is a moron. More to come, stay tuned!
Well he can’t win a second super bowl so he has to do something for attention.
I’ve already heard one of the talking heads on nfl network say if Rodgers signs with the jets then he has these teams listed as the chiefs biggest competition in order, and I don’t remember who it was.
1. Bengals
2. Chargers
3. Jets
4. Bills
5. Jaguars
Personally I think Rodgers is washed up. And why are the chargers 2, they haven’t done anything and never will unless they fire their head coach

I don't see Rodgers winning another Super Bowl, I think his window has slammed shut, too many young hungry quarterbacks in the AFC, and he'll sure as heck never get past Mahomes and the Chiefs.
Look at this, Mike Greenberg who is the host of "Get Up" on ESPN, is a huge Jets fan, and his wife posted this photo of him on Twitter, and said that this situation is torturing him.
Strong feeling still that he will be a Jet. It is NOT done yet, still working through some things. Nothing finalized and GB still needs official word from Rodgers.
Some Jets players have been frustrated about the process dragging out."

...too soon...
"as of right now"
No, I meant...that is a tragedy, but it's too soon to talk about it. Lol
This should mean its a done deal, If he's pushing for the Jets to sign some of his former teammates and they do,there's no way he chooses GB when they'll just need to replace everyone.

Definately has to be, I guess the Jets will be signing Randall Cobb next!

Unless Cobb,Lewis & OBJ sign cheap he's likely not getting all four players. I checked their cap space earlier and it was roughly 16M,not counting Lazard's deal.

The Pats have more holes than last year right now so even without Rodgers the Pats will more than likely finish last anyways

The fact that he is lobbying so hard for Lazard is a slap in the face to the Jets WR's
I'd love for the Jets to hold a press conference and announce to the media thar they are going in a different direction and will not be trading for Rodgers, without contacting him first Ofcourse

Hey, here's a thought, maybe Aaron Rodgers will restructure his contract and take less money in order to sign the other guys.
You never know -
"The #Browns have restructured QB Deshaun Watson's contract, creating nearly $36M in cap space, source said. The cap conversion gives plenty of room for Cleveland to work in free agency. Watson was set to count $55 million against the Browns' salary cap in 2023. Now that's been dropped to the minimum $19.1 million."

If that happens, the beers are on me. We'll drink my favorite brand, Cry Baby 12!
Aaron Rodgers is on the Pat McAfee Show, and he just said that since Friday his intentions have been to play for the Jets but compensation is holding things up.
"I'm the longest tenured Packer in history and my life is better because of my time in Green Bay.. the reality is they're ready to move on with Jordan Love and he's got a bright future ahead of him."
"I haven't been holding anything up at this point," Rodgers said after confirming that he does want to play for the Jets. "It's been the compensation that the Packers are trying to get for me."
So basically, Aaron Rodgers has already made his decision, he wants to play for the Jets next season, the Jets and Packers need to get the compensation worked out, that's what we're waiting for.
Until its a done deal I don't trust anything Rodgers has to say, he can talk.in riddles about this and we are still not any closer to knowing what he is going to do.
Aaron Rodgers also said that he was 90% leaning towards retirement before his darkness retreat and when he emerged from the darkness he said "something changed."
I have to say, Aaron Rodgers has been a lot of fun to cover over the years, I'm actually going to miss the guy when he does retire. Sorry, I need a minute.
I don't think Jets fans will be able to handle the wait lol. What is GB asking for in compensation anyways? two firsts?
I'm thinking it probably is two firsts, maybe the Jets are hesitant because they don't know how long Rodgers is going to be in New York, he could play one season and retire.
Mmm hmm, interesting, when asked about his wish list, if he demanded that certain players be signed, Rodgers had this to say.
Rodgers said that he discussed his feelings about players during conversations with the Jets and gave endorsements about some of the players listed above, but pushed back on the notion that he was asking for players to be added to the roster. Rodgers called it “ridiculous” to say he made demands of the Jets at any point in those conversations.

I know that this an odd question on the Aaron Rodgers topic/thread ....
Where is Zack Wilson going?
I'm not sure, the Jets could look to deal him away in the offseason, but if they decide to keep him on the roster then it could fuel him to become better, it's very interesting what Zach Wilson said back in January, he said if the Jets sign a veteran to replace him, then he's going to make the guy's life hell in practice, meaning that he's going to compete to get his job back.

Another reason that the Packers might not be in any rush to trade Arod: trade him now he counts for 31M on their 2023 salary cap. Trade him on or after June 1st he only counts for 12M. Waiting two and a half months for this trade to happen seems so odd when they're so close and right at the start of free agency.
