Aaron is going to a dome or a warm city. Tampa Bay makes the most sense now that Carr signed with the Saints.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
Is New York what he heard from the darkness?
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
The NY MEDIA will drive him crazy, but it would be a good move for the Jets as long as they dont include Sauce-Gardener in any part of the transaction
wouldnt it be fun to watch him squirm in NY though!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
He will be at war with the media after the first loss and it will be hilarious lol
You know, I did a thread a while back about how weird it is that Aaron Rodgers has become like Brett Favre, all those years in Green Bay, one championship, disgruntled, and now possibly going to the Jets. I can't wait to see how this plays out.
There is a report online that the Packers granted permission to Aaron Rodgers to talk to the Jets, so it looks like the Packers are definitely ready to move on from him.
This story has legs!
Yes it does, I'm going to be glued to this all day, if anyone needs me I'll be here inside this thread. I'm roasting marshmallows!
Fox NFL just reported that Aaron Rodgers and the Jets are continuing their talks today!
The NFL Rumor mill is out in full force for the AFC East today, local STR mentions that Brady might not be entirely done and to keep an eye on Miami. Also Josh McDaniels and the Raiders might be interested in trading for Mac Jones. Add in this Aaron Rodgers news and it should be interesting to see if any of this plays out this offseason.

Apparently Tom read my comment then tweeted this...
I guess we won't see a Arod/Jets vs Brady/Fins matchup this year.

A lot of crazy rumors going on in the NFL right now, this is awesome!
Oh, oh, Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner is on Twitter, practically begging Aaron Rodgers to join the team!
According to Pat McAfee, Jets officials are flying out to meet with Aaron Rodgers today. It should be noted that Rodgers is good friends with Pat McAfee and makes regular appearances on his show, so McAfee would know what's going on. That is the latest update, stay tuned for more news, as we cover the Aaron Rodgers Jets story!
As much as I hate the offseason> @erikthredd said:
I hope he doesn’t do the Brett Favre thing and unretire again, honestly it will tarnish him a bit.
Latest update, the Jets officials are flying on Woody Johnson's private plane, I don't have a photo of the plane, but here's a dramatization of what it might look like!
What's that? No, I'm not obsessed with Aaron Rodgers, why would you think that? Now leave me be, I'm waiting for breaking news on Aaron Rodgers!
😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
The latest update, Woody Johnson's plane, with the Jets officials on board, has touched down in California, the meeting with Aaron Rodgers should be taking place soon. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll take a snack break, will be back momentarily.
ohhh, this is so juicy. please come to NY ARod. I so long to see you wrapped up in a Matthew Judon loving embrace...
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Well, I've been glued to this story and it looks like nothing is going to happen today. We all know Aaron Rodgers is a very complicated and weird guy, so who knows what's going on inside his mind right now, but I would love to know. I will stay tuned in to the latest developments in the Aaron Rodgers Jets saga and update this thread if any news breaks on a deal. Will Aaron Rodgers save Gotham? We shall see!
DD, thank you for your dedication to this story!!!
You're welcome buddy. I've done so many threads on him over the years, I've covered so many stories about him, I must know how this plays out!
Him going to NY would open the doors to many many more stories!
Top of the morning to everyone, I'm ready for a full day of Aaron Rodgers!
I will be keeping a close watch on this thread throughout the day DD, I hope you can funnel up to date information on this saga!
I hope so too, he's a very stubborn man so this could drag on for days, but I'm up for the challenge!
Forget ESPN or FOX sports, I will be glued to this thread!! I know you have an inside scoop DD.
I must know how this plays out.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Do you think that Aaron and Woody Johnson are currently sitting in a pitch-dark room in complete silence with the smell of patchouli wafting through the air?
I like to think that they are...
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
If anything happens, I'll be on top of it!
The latest update, the Jets officials are flying back to New York today and the Jets converted $4.5 million of TE C.J. Uzomah's salary into a bonus, clearing $3.6M in cap space. 🤔
Here's an interesting little thing while we wait. Yesterday the media got wind that Woody Johnson and Jets officials were eating at a restaurant called "Lucky" in Malibu, so the media showed up at the restaurant and they were all over Woody Johnson like a pack of wolves. The media asked Woody Johnson, "Will Aaron Rodgers soon be leaving on a Jets plane?"
“We’ll find out,” Jets owner Woody Johnson said Tuesday upon departing the Southern California eatery "Lucky" following a whirlwind Tuesday that included a sit-down with the Packers quarterback at his Malibu home.
Am I the only one who thought it was weird that Jets executives had to fly to where Aaron Rodgers was at in order to negotiate?? He has certainly been a great QB and no doubt will enter the HOF but his "prima-donna-ism" is just too much for me.
I think if he signs with the Jets, as it now appears, that he will improve their record and maybe challenge Buffalo and Miami.
I have a feeling that Aaron is actually on the plane with them. I imagine him all by himself in the pitch black cargo hold with all of the luggage and asking the voices in his head if he made the right decision...
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Probably true, the Jets don't have a bad team, their lack of a decent QB is their glaring problem, they could use a little help.in the WR department but with Ridgers they would all be elevated.
As it stands I think Miami takes the division, adding Rodgers to the Jets I could see it being a photo finish.
Buffalo finishes behind both if Rodgers lands
There seems to be some confusion now, I'm reading stories that the Jets officials didn't use Woody Johnson's plane, that they actually used NetJets, and that they haven't left California and may still be meeting with Aaron Rodgers. We better check the flight records.
Is Aaron Rodgers-Jets visit actually over? What flight records actually indicate
Has the meeting between Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets actually ended? Flight records seem to imply they could still be in California.
The New York Jets made their way to California to court Aaron Rodgers, who they hope to trade with the Green Bay Packers for, on Tuesday. While Rodgers has yet to formally decide he’ll return to play in the 2023 season, the latest rumors seem to indicate he’s leaning toward a return. His team, though? That’s unclear.
The meetings appear to be ongoing, but there’s some conflicting information about whether or not the Jets have headed back East or if they’re continuing to meet with Rodgers on Wednesday.
On Wednesday morning, The Athletic’s reporter Matt Schneidman reported that Woody Johnson’s plane departed LAX and headed back East late Tuesday night.
Digging into the flight records and the nature of the private flight, I think it’s quite possible the Jets visit has not ended yet, though.
Jets took a rideshare jet service to California
The Jets did not take a Woody Johnson-owned plane to California. They used a fractional ownership company called NetJets that is essentially a membership for people who want to fly private jets without having to have the burden of owning a jet and maintaining it.
So, these jets are passed from customer to customer frequently based on the needs of NetJets and their clients.
With that in mind, let’s look at the locations and timelines of the flights, which don’t add up to suggest that the Jets have gone back to New York just yet.
Here’s a full timeline of the flights, all according to RadarBox.com:
Jets fly from Morristown, New Jersey to Camarillo Airport. They land at 12:49 p.m. PT
The same plane flies from Camarillo to LAX, departing at 1:58 p.m. PT
The plane departs LAX for White Plains, New York at 11:26 p.m. PT and lands in White Plains at 6:38 a.m. ET on Wednesday
Why would the Jets contingent land in Camarillo only to fly to LAX an hour later? Secondly, why would they return to White Plains, New York, instead of Morristown, NJ? Westchester County Airport in White Plains is 66 miles from the Jets front office, Morristown’s airport is just eight miles.
While it’s possible the Jets re-routed to LAX and then to White Plains, it feels inconvenient for everyone involved. It’s possible Schneidman has sources indicating the Packers are on this flight, though, so it can’t be said with certainty that the Jets haven’t headed home looking just at flight logs.
Looking purely at the flight logs and nature of NetJets, though, more likely than the Jets being linked to this flight the entire time is that the customer was routed to a different NetJets customer at LAX who took the plane to White Plains.
No planes have landed in Morristown, NJ from NetJets from California since the Jets contingency left for the West Coast.
It’s quite possible the team and Rodgers are continuing to meet on Wednesday.
Outstanding detective work DD!
This is EXACTLY why your on the case!!
Thank you, I wish he would hurry up and make up his mind, the suspense is killing me!
Make up your mind Rodgers!
Interesting, based on the assumption that the Jets do indeed sign Rodgers, Caesars Sportsbook reports a massive surge of Jets 2024 Super Bowl action, with more bets placed, and more money bet, on the Jets to win the Super Bowl than on all 31 other teams combined since the news of the Jets’ efforts to acquire Rodgers broke.
The Jets’ Super Bowl odds are now 20/1. Only six teams (the Chiefs, 49ers, Bills, Eagles, Bengals and Cowboys) are viewed as more likely to win the Super Bowl than the Jets, based on the betting odds.
It's not a terribly bad bet, the Jets have a solid team just no QB
It really is insane how many QBs the Jets have ruined. They consistently draft very early QBs and they consistently get ruined. How has everyone not been fired with a true house cleaning instead of letting the same people waste top 5-10 picks over and over and over
Wisconsin 2-6 against the SEC since 2007
The latest update on the situation, ESPN's Mike Greenberg went on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Wednesday and said that Jets' owner Woody Johnson will do "whatever it takes" to trade for Aaron Rodgers. Greenberg added that having the owner, head coach, general manager, and offensive coordinator fly out to California to meet with Rodgers means the Jets are "all-in" and that the decision now lies solely with the Packers' MVP quarterback.
Ian Rapoport with NFL Network says don't expect a decision from Rodgers anytime soon on playing with the Jets. "Aaron Rodgers is pretty reflective and likes to take his time thinking and then discuss it publicly," said Rapoport. Rapoport added that the Jets are Rodgers' only outside suitor and that retirement is still on the table.
Rodgers is due $60 million dollars on his contract next season. The Packers need to be salary cap compliant by the start of free agency next Wednesday, March 15.
DD, great work here. I know you are the man for the job
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Thank you buddy, we'll continue tomorrow, hopefully Rodgers will make his mind up soon, the suspense is too much!
Hopefully your ready for another full day today DD!
Yes I am, hopefully Rodgers will make his decision soon!
An interesting side not, a while back, Joe Namath said that if Rodgers does sign with the Jets, he wants Rodgers to wear number 12, which was Namath's retired number with the Jets.
