The 1982 NCAA final game was played before 61,612 fans in the Louisiana Superdome. It was the 44th NCAA tournament final and it marked the first game to be televised by CBS Sports under a new NCAA contract. On this night in ‘82 Gary Bender and Billy Packer brought the game to fans across the country. With 32 seconds left and trailing by one, Coach Smith called a time out, set a play, and told Michael Jordan to “knock it down.” Jordan did just that, providing the margin for the 63-62 victory.
For Jordan's part, his game-winner is often seen as the launching point of his career - the moment that gave him the confidence to become what many believe to be the greatest basketball player of all time, in no small part due to his clutch performance. Jordan has said multiple times that before he would take game-winning shots with the Bulls, he would sometimes think back to his shot in the 1982 game that propelled North Carolina past Georgetown.

Have always liked the ‘73 McCovey - have always thought Bench just called for the appeal and they called It a swing. McCovey did not agree.
Congrats Milwaukee Bucks on winning their 2nd NBA Championship! I remember watching their 1st NBA Championship in 1971 with Lew Alcindor, the BIG O, Bob Dandridge, and Lucius Allen among others.
I was at the 78 NYY opening day game when Reggie bars were given out to all fans. When Reggie got announced (1st game since the 77 World Series 3 HR game), thousands of Reggie bars were thrown on the field. It was awesome.

i think we are nearing the floor on certain cards ive had my eye on. snagged this super 1/1 for 60% less than what the seller stood firm on for a while. glad to have it.
just announced: looking forward to seeing some moonshots in the derby
.
welp this is a new one. imagine landing the 1/1 and expecting the run to be all down hill from there. then one random day your ebay saved search notifies you of another 1/1 available. go searching for the complete checklist to see exactly what is going on here only to find out there are actually 3 different 1/1s?!? i hate the term “rainbow” but might as well try to finish it. 2 down, 1 to go.
still love the way the “moonshots” looks like its raised and casting a shadow of the script on the card. actually looking forward to the additional hunt…
The good news about the group of slabs I'll be showing next 30 days- technically free. Used a whole boatload of saved credit on account. Will take me a while to post all the scans I'm doing multi-tasking the new few months while battling some issues with circumstantial paresthesia in my midsection yet continuing to work thru it while finding the source causing it.
Quite a bit of football was on this one- subbed Aug 2020 got to PSA right before Labor Day weekend so 9.5 months out
Planned for it so I am totally cool- impeccable timing on the return came here right after NBA Finals ended
3 new Rolens, a couple of Edgerrin James rookie issues that are condition sensitive, and some 1998 Black Diamond Die cut Triples below
All these issues are condition sensitive. PSA 8 is norm, a Mint 9 is just fine, I get a 10 it will stay locked away.

Did a small order with BBCE before they go to the National:
I like odd ball stuff. These are 2019 Topps PKWY. If you purchased a pair of PKWY MLB team socks you received a pack of 3 cards. I found 3 packs and got these. Edit I put these on the BST board if interested.
Finally, the NFL of the 1980’s is my favorite era of the pro game and John Madden’s commentary is a major reason why. Got this for .50 at the local bookstore.

these are cool and have not seen them. thanks for posting!
i thought the “clear travel” edition was the obscure version for the 2019 cards. these might have those beat. is there a player checklist for this run or know if soto is in it? ebay resulted in zero hits.
