This rare opened case came from an original owner who's friend of the family was a sales rep for Topps.
After buying, it was shipped immediately to BBCE for inspection.
Steve Hart then came back with the following....."I looked over the 2 1978 Topps baseball wax trays today and they are awesome! Condition is basically un-improvable"

Whoa
Whoa is right. I imagine UFFDAH's house to be one room after another filled with five and six figure cardboard boxes stacked everywhere.
My mail today.

One of my favorite base designs for Griffey.

i see a thread started by uffdah and i click.
I took a break in the mid/late 90s so missed all of these excellent looking late Mariners Griffey cards. Thx for posting.
I picked up some cheap 1976 Topps Football PSA 9's. It's cheaper to buy them than to sub them!
1995 to 1999 is my favorite stretch. Great designs during that span!

It's been awhile for any kind of purchase for me lately but at least this one was affordable:
Just arrived, for the Cubs PC.
Arrived today.
Anyone care to guess on what it grades? Please PSA lower the fees!
Added these today.

I went a little crazy at the BBCE store:
Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
three more 83 topps for my set.
i won these two 75's from gemmint auctions two weeks ago.
finally got myself a will clark for my desert shield collection.
Roy is a tough '52 Topps card to find centered, this one not perfect but I like it.
Happy to pick up this eye popping card from fellow member, 76collector (Jeff) today. The first 1979, I have purchased...
Not much of a vintage football guy, but grew up watching Elway!
I have always loved the 79 Ryan. Great card, congrats!

Thx Nic! It was not on my buy list actually...but I could not pass on such a beautiful card of one of my favorite players.
I remember when the Kittle was equal in excitement to the Strawberry.
keeping my 2004 fleer/skybox kick going....

Got these beauties from mariner Don.
Happy to add back Dr. J. to my rookie collection. The money was just too good during the run up of prices so I sold my 8.5 Dr. J. Happy to find this one to replace it. No elbow barnacle and the back is centered better than most.
@JBrules - THAT is an awesome J - WOW!!!
^ agreed. super rare to find one w no fisheye w front AND back centering like that. congrats!
@JB sold my 8 as well back in the gold mining days. Looking myself now again and yes no barnacle bill is a priority and this 8.5 is sweet!!!
just got these ones from ebay . some game-used and some serial numbered.
Ricardo Rodriguez: 185/1000
Cody Ross: 484/552
Mark Teahen: 44/300
Junior Spivey: 573/1000

1976 Wonder Bread’s Jerry Sherk - Craig Morton - Wally Chambers
I do like Hank Stram’s favorite plays.
I bought a H - PM about a month ago, I liked that one so much that I bought another one
Very happy with a nice clean and centered nicely with no tilt Eckersley rookie!

@jackstraw - great looking Eck!! Iconic card in my opinion. The look and the chaw!!
Just picked this one up while looking for an 8/8.5 centered. Looks like an 8 IMo but paid pennies for it.
KC
@KendallCat - Keith at first glance 10!! Second glance 11!! Way to go!!
Dang, I need to start looking at lower grades! Nice!

Thank you for the nice comments Chris and Nic. I still prefer 8’s and 8’s - love PSA 8.5 grades. I have started hunting mid grades for a couple of years now trying to find PSA 4-6 cards that hopefully look like 8/8.5’s. Saves money for other cards and fulfills the desire to find nice cards with eye appeal.
Just picked this one up as well for $40 for Keith Jr’s collection.
Awesome! Congrats!
I've been on the hunt for one of these for 7-8 years now and blessed to have found one for my collection. There are no PSA 10's and nine PSA 9's. Mr. Cowboy.

Just purchased these today from my card shop including 2 blank backs ( Jim Kelly , John Elway ) . also got the cor. and rev neg 1990 juan gonzalez . i picked up 13 leaf steel baseball but do not know much about them other then the cards are made of metal.
No cards to contribute, working on my comic collection. Did pick up an interesting storage option. Field/ammo box. Hard plastic, made by Sheffield (USA). Waterproof, lockable in 3 points(padlock extra). Stackable. Holds 40 PSA slabs in sleeves. Available in many colors, priced $7.99 - $14.99 on Amazon.
There is a lot of diversity in that lot!
Huge congrats on a great card. 63s in general are impossible and that card is extra tough. Huge addition.
Absolute monster of a pickup. Congrats!
there is .. i dont usually collect basketball or football but he's always adding to his card bins so i thought this time id rumage through them to see what grabbed me.
Two awesome new grabs. First, from our own @76collector comes this card that Jeff recently got back in a sub hoping for a 9. I think Jeff was right, myself, and I know he's got a great eye and with it now in hand I only feel so even more making this a great transaction start to finish. I always wanted a mint copy of this card and I feel as though I have one now...
The second is just me being me: I'm a sucker for the card, it's five Hall of Famer's pitcured, a good price and, in particular, the guy facing the camera, at left...
ETA: Post 4,000. Wow

It is so funny to hear you say that; I actually hand delivered some items to @UFFDAH not that long ago…

1978 Craig Morton w/ 77 Highlights, one of my favorites from when I was younger.
Added another HOF RC.

2 more for the JR basic set. 85.5% complete on the 221 card set. The 95 Studio only has 10 graded in total; this is the first one I have seen in the 4 years I have been working on the set, so I had to grab it!
