Nothing I can recall in all the recent recent Mint product's history has had this many postings of so many different and obvious quality issues so soon. I wonder if any of these spots were on the blanks provided to the Mint to begin with before they even started striking the coins?

I thought that too but closer look and the spots occur on all three coins in exact same locations - so I was thinking the dies but maybe the planchettes have them in the same locations too.
I was told by The Mints CS rep (Terrance) to expect a shipping return label email within 24 to 48 hours, just a few hours ago I received a UPS email with a prepaid label to print out. Thank you to UPS for the heads up account alert, box is ready to be dropped off at the UPS store.
It's such a shame to see the quality of coins leaving the Mint in this day and age on two highly anticipated releases.
The D and S Morgans are still in processing. The Peace and Philly Morgan has shipped, due for Friday delivery. I received the Privy O and CC a couple of days ago. So far I haven't seen any with a brilliant finish, so I doubt anyone gets a PL. These all seem to be Satin. When looking at the fields under a loupe or magnified under the lens the appearance is almost like a subdued snakeskin appearance. It reminds me of the look of modern cameos.
Just now got this notice for the D and S. (Not yet on the P and Peace)
Your recent order USMxxxxxxxx has shipped! Please be aware, the United States Mint uses standard-size nondescript boxes for all shipments. Thank you for shopping with us. We look forward to serving you in the future.
Grateful.

Wow. I don't have a rational explanation for that spot and I have never seen one on my modern coins like that. I hope some of the non-bullion coin collectors who have a lot more experience, can help describe what some of these issues are actually caused from, as I have a lot to learn if this is going to be the norm.
I am still waiting. Still processing no confirmed shipment yet even though I have been charged as of last week. I am hoping for the best with people posting issues. The people buying them "still sealed" from a second source are in for a rude awakening.
Edit to add they hit me with the second charge.

I can understand some toning type things like this if several years went by, but on a brand new coin it is strange. I have seen something similar in the red spots that can occur on some .999 gold coins or medals around a speck of silver dust, but I don't see the little spot source to cause it in this example.
I saw one on ebay with a small rainbow edge toning. It was not mentioned in the listing. It just caught my eye while scrolling through looking for other D mints with jacked up reverse rims like mine.

I still don’t understand why you would send them back and not just sell them at cost - you’ll get your money quicker and make someone’s day at the same time ... your coin shop will happily buy them for 90 bucks / coin...

They were all shipped at the same time or at least within this window - so tell me, are they ALL first strikes?
If you can’t tell by looking at the coin (ie cameo) then I don’t see the value. Furthermore since they are all shipped at once and sold out then it is meaningless imo
So excited to see "processing" advance to "shipped", everything has shipped!!! And very excited to get my CC & O pairs yesterday. At first glance, stunning!! Then upon closer inspection...a mark here, a weird toning spot there, a piece of thread trapped in the capsule sticking out over the obverse, one O Morgan with two hit marks. Out of 4 coins, one looks like maybe a 70. If I open the capsule and pull out the weird thread, maybe that one would be okay too. I was really hoping for some perfect looking coins.
I've intentionally left an S-Proof ASE order open that has the payment info blank.
no email yet and it is in processing
I also left the Morgan O order with blank payment method alone without calling them, and today I already got the coin. The mint really did something with their payment system.

The mint will likely be shipping these into December (well after 30 days from the first shipment)

My shipment info changed to ups ground several days ago with no shipping notice and I just received the above as well.
I got my O privy mark and my CC privy mark and I am beyond thrilled with them and the quality. I am not trying to rub this into anyone's face (check out what the Mint sent me with the Reverse Proof T1/T2 set). Here are pics. I am so glad that I was persistent and just hung in there. I feel so bad for those of you who got shut each time; I hope that mintages go up for a '22 issue if they do it.
Finding this a bit unusual that every coin graded 70 unless minimum grade requested was 70, and not familiar with "advanced release" PCGS graded coins as these all are. Learning something new every day. So "early release" = NGC & "advanced release" = PCGS. Hmmm.....Guess now there is "First Strike" & "Advanced Release." Giving me pause as to whether or not to pay for "First Strike," or grade at all.

That might explain some of the quality issues - I wonder if they were just as fast in striking them and their initial encasement.

Could it be oil on the dies?
I don’t know what to call mine. Just a blank spot I have other coins with the same thing but still can’t find out what it’s called

I am excited for the pocket coin photos we will see in about a year or so. More so judging from the quality issues.

Just received the D and S, the quality is ok. I did not look into details and just put them aside to avoid feeling disappointed.

I seen it 1 other time on a recent silver issue
I cannot definitely explain why it discolored so much so fast

There were a couple of the new reverse proofs that had that similar problem. Sorry

Reading replies here and other threads, it seems most of the unsightliness is done during striking.
Some of those marks that look like hits could be strike throughs.
Then there are the unmistakable contact marks sliding across the rims

Will it stay like that or could a rainbow spread out on the coin?
Not true - through Nov 1
They are sold out on day one so all are being shipped now -
Is this something that is seen on 90% silver real Morgans, too? or does it happen on 99.9% silver the same way?. Not much copper in the new ones?

Peace Dollar is still processing, but shipping method changed to USPS. Hopefully tomorrow they will be shipped!
The "D" in "UNITED" on my privy CC has a giant chunk out of it.
All 3 of my Morgan's from Denver have scratches on them, plus stress marks all over the cheeks.
My New Orleans capsule was open from the bad packaging and already has toning on the reverse...
The O capsule is very loose.
Pot mark on the chin? D-mint woes...
Cheek scratches, other issues.
