Well, this is somewhat related to the Mint's excuses on this issue. Silver Eagle sales are on record pace with over 10 million sold this year already. So, why does the Mint think they can blame their issues with these coins on a "global silver shortage"? Clearly they've acquired millions of ounces of 0.999 fine for the ASE sales.

The World’s Fair of Money in Rosemont begins on August 10th. I’m wondering if the U.S. Mint is going to have any Peace Silver dollars on hand for the noon release?
nah. they will only sell via "store" types once it is 12 noon eastern on order day. then, to have the product to offer, they literally have to order through the same channel (web site) as we do. In this case, they likely won't have any until the web people are shipping.
(to have product to sell on release day, they can order and receive product before the regular folk do. I do not think that applies here as I think these have not been minted and the expected ship date is in October)

What are people doing if you credit card got hacked between May and now so you have a new CC? Is the order screwed? I called the mint and they said it will get cancelled. I know I read somewhere they were able to fix it but that was a while ago.
I think you are SOL. The mint rep will probably tell you to sign up for email alerts when it comes available again.
