Argh.... Thanks for opening an old wound. I was on the mint's web site the instant those coins were available and could never get through the check out process without timing out. I subsequently spent a few weeks waking up early every day in the hopes of getting a coin but could never get past the time outs on the rare occasions coins were available. I ultimately got discouraged and gave up.

placed order on 11-feb w card let's call 1234, saw on confirmation page they noted me as using card let's call 6666 - card 6666 is a card i did not enter in order page, tied to a bank acct I closed years ago, and which was not in my saved payments - the only way they could have resurrected that card was some ancient mint order I made - obv I called them immediately after seeing confirmation page, seconds after ordering, to raise issue - they [allegedly] relinked to card 1234 and that [should've] been that
fast forward 15-feb, get an email that there is an issue w this order, and if I didn't contact mint in 48 hrs, it would be canceled - obv, called in seconds after receiving THAT email - they say my order is tied to card 6666 and that theyre having problems charging to it - we'll, of course they are, as I didn't enter it and it's a defunct card tied to a nonexistant bank acct - we """remedy""" the issue once again and am told my order would ship in 24-48 hrs - """all good"""
fast forward to this morning, cancelation email, called them, they say they tried to put order through on card 6666 and it didn't work ..... 🔥🤬🔥
end of call was 'we're gonna set up a supervisor callback' - I won't hold my breath...

nothing to update, no old cards in my saved payments - I'm telling you, this wasn't an issue on my end - completely on mints end - nothing in my acct or saved anything was set up to support these issues that popped up during this debacle - 1000% on the mint

On Day 1 of sales...as I believe I noted previously on the board...the credit card details that autopopulated on the Mint sales page didn't even belong to my account (it fully populated somebody else's account details)! Fortunately, I spotted the error before submitting the order.
However, after checking my account data, all my information was accurately pre-saved to my account.
So I wouldn't trust anything the Mint says about cancellations due to errors on your part! Their system was glitchy that day...even by traditionally poor Mint web sales standards!
exactly, @RichR - obv not happy these cc issues happened, but thankful there was at least 1 other forum member who could relay the strangeness of cc issues on 11-feb - had never had something like this happen w mint and so incredibly frustrating that no one there [Texas call center] cares enough, or is able enough, to do anything about it
So now I wait for my coins to ship as the tracking # reveals it hasn't been picked up yet by the PO. It's like when you wait in the doctor's office to be seen, finally they bring you in to one if the exam rooms where you wait for another agonizing amount of time to be seen. What we need is Jeff Bezos to start running the mint.

Did you sign up for the Loyalty Program? You need to sign up it is not automatic and then they can spam you.

Everyone should get those emails anyway to stay informed. I don't know how many I get but it is not too bad (I just delete most based on the subject line).
Another annoying issue re credit cards/payments with the Mint...has anyone else noticed that Paypal is usually disabled or missing as on option during the initial chaos on Day 1 of sales. I've noticed that during the past couple of hot issues.

It was a cc issue, then. Unfair to be sure, but a different issue than availability.
I placed orders for 1 each on two separate days the week after the issue date. Got shipment notification on one of them today.

So, you are entitled to free budget shipping, but did not get it.

FWIW, you are not alone. @Onastone appears to be having the same issue.
Just call them after they start giving you the free shipping. They will credit the shipping that was charged after the 3rd order.
