Didn't see one started yet. Picked up a couple rack packs, have been
working on a 1981 rack pack set with HOF's showing for a long time.
They are getting more expensive, I'm kind of picky the HOF'er has to be centered
at least fairly decent.
Love the Stargell and McRae, two of my favorite Pirates and Royals players.

Started the new year with my first Mahomes. I just became a Chiefs fan. This is what happens when Jets decided to win a game.
start the new year with two more 83 topps stars.
My Christmas present from my brother. We have collected together since the time we were kids and buy each other cards every year for Christmas and birthdays. It is really nice to have someone close to me appreciate the hobby.
A rare sealed case pickup from Brady's Rookie Year. Original price hand written on top.

That looks awesome!!
Dan, love the idea of framing the uncut sheets. Next time, though, I think you should invest in something more....um....ornamental. Like this, perhaps. (You're welcome 😊)

LOVE that Ryan rack!!!!
Does anyone know where you can buy those top loaders for rack packs? I can't find them
Edited: Found them......on the BBCE site!
Won these in an auction in the beginning of December but just showed up today and added to my registry!
hadnt looked at the actual card in over a year, but i gotta say. the team colored variation blending w. the jersey really does make that card pop and very visually appealing. might have to start picking some more of those up myself.
Some LCS pick ups, just back from PSA.
First ever slab from this company. Buy the card...
Great example of the O-Pee-Chee rough cut...

Not the most exciting hockey card, but I’m working on a PSA 10 OPC base card run for Neely. Happy to add it.
A Jim Brown rc came up for sale/trade on another site I frequent and I was able to get it. I've kind of wanted one to pair with my '58 Topps CFL Cookie Gilchrist. Though Brown had the far superior career, if you ask players of the day, you might get a toss up as to who was the better football player. I'd like to get it signed. Maybe if we have a National this year.
Wow does Edgar look young on this rookie card!
5x all star, 2x World Series champ, World Series MVP, 3x silver slugger, 2x gold glove
Named the 2010 World Series MVP after hitting game-winning home runs in Games 2 and 5 of the series. He is the fourth player to have multiple World Series-winning hits, along with Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio, and Lou Gehrig. Nice company!

A Christmas present from my son just arrived, a 1967-68 Coke cap of Yaz:
Also picked up this 1952 Wheaties Ted Williams. Terrible hand cut, but there's enough blue there for me to clean it up.

Never enjoy saying it but that’s a really nice 58 Richie Ashburn.
WOW!!!!!!
~tough foil variation here..... BTW ~the new 56 game NHL season kicks off the 13th of Jan. with every team playing the same six teams 9 times.......
Can't go wrong with an early MJ PSA 10 card.
After looking at some of the awesome pickups on this month's thread , mine is going be like a dump in the woods in terms of value .
I picked this card up for my Dwight Evans set . Its only a PSA 8 and got it very inexpensive BUT ITS A Top Pop 1 and in fact its the only one graded .

New arrival
Nice looking Mantle. Ebay purchase?
Bambi on the way
That's a monster! Nice pick. Keeping it sealed I am guessing?
HOF SIGNED FOOTBALL RCS
Great card. Do you think an eventual HOF induction may be in the cards for Edgar?
HOF SIGNED FOOTBALL RCS
Thanks! I doubt he gets into the HOF, I’d put him in the hall of great.

I purchased from a private collector. It's a beauty. Headed to PSA soon.
My latest card for my collection.
I collect hall of fame rookie cards, https://www.instagram.com/stwainfan/
Another HHOF addition. This card has been extremely undervalued for a long time, and is now catching up, like the rest of hockey is starting to:
Main collecting focus is Patrick Roy playing days 85/86-02/03, expect 1/1, National/All-Star stamped cards.PC Completion: 2,548/2,952; 86.31% My Patrick Roy PC Website:https://proy33collector.weebly.com
I agree...beautiful '68 Mantle! I am kind of new at PSA submissions...What grade do you think it will get?
I love the CFL Cookie. I have never seen it before. Thanks for posting
There’s just something about hope that is part of any acquisition or, for that matter, submission. Here’s a tale that’s both. When I found this particular example, it was not listed perfectly, the pictures were pretty blurry and I didn’t have a great vibe. So, I put in a bid at the end of the auction that was like, ‘No matter what happens, I can live with it at this price’ and when it ended and I’d won, I just kept hoping for good luck. When it arrived, I was in utter disbelief and glad I had trusted in hope.
You see, this set is a total beast and this is one of the key cards. These cards - as a general rule - were glued in an album and retrieved in modern day times with a soak with just about every single copy on the market. So they pick up glue stains, tears, edge wear and (wait for it) worm holes! Yes, Cuban worms often ate the paper and make perfect little circles in the cards! Before I get sidetracked, the set population is terribly small as is the this players population (13, high of VG); PWCC sold the two highest graded examples of this card last year (it’s images are on PSA APR and PWCC Auction archive) and suffice it to say, and knowing all that I know, I think this card has a shot. A real shot.
Now, I find myself trusting in hope once again as it makes it’s way to California.

Hoping for an 8. I think it's centered well enough. However, they are always tough on stars. Your thoughts?
7 at best. Corner touches on lower corners. Upload a back scan and that’ll help- the wood grain borders make it hard to assess.
1979s are actually 1981s in 79 wrappers pulled from a partial case recently
I added another card to my lacrosse collection today. Card #35 in the 1933 Indian Gum set features a Native American ball player, holding one version of a lacrosse stick. This card can actually be found in five different standard versions:
I also found a sixth variation, though it is more of a printing error than a true variation:
I picked up the "more cards" split over two lines variation, and need only to find the Red banner, Series of 48 to complete the collection.
Here are the card fronts:
Here are the back variations:
Blue banner, Series of 48
Red banner, Series of 96
Red banner, Series of 192, "More cards" split over two lines
Red banner, Series of 192, "More cards" on same line
Red banner, Series of 96 with Series of 192 overprint
Very difficult Front Row Promo! You will search for years and be lucky to find one. Of course PSA won't grade these because they are so rare they are not listed anywhere?
ON ITS WAY TO NEWPORT BEACH, CA 92658
Nice cards @AFLfan!!
Nice card. I like the caricature on the back. I don't even remember Front Row being involved in hockey.
Tim, nice Dihigo!
