Paddy and Murphy are working on a building site in South Boston on East 5th Street.
Paddy whispers to Murphy, “I’m gonna have the day off. I’m gonna pretend I’m mad!”
He climbs up the rafters, hangs upside down and shouts, “I’M A LIGHT BULB! I’M A LIGHT BULB!”
Murphy watches in amazement.
The foreman shouts back, “Paddy you’re mad, go home!”
So he leaves the site.
Murphy starts packing his backpack up to leave as well.
“Where the ‘heck’ are you going?” asks the foreman.
“I can’t work in the friggin’ dark!” says Murphy.
An Irishman, an Englishman, and Julia Roberts were sitting together in a carriage in a train.
Suddenly, the train goes through a tunnel and there were no lights, the carriages went completely dark.
Then there was a kissing noise, and the sound of a really loud slap.
When the train came out of the tunnel, Roberts and the Irishman were sitting as if nothing had happened, the Englishman had his hand against his face as though he'd been slapped.
The Englishman was thinking, “The Irish fella must have kissed Julia and she missed him and slapped me instead.”
Julia Roberts was thinking; “The English fella must have tried to kiss me and actually kissed the Irishman and got slapped for it.”
And the Irishman was thinking, “This is freakin' great to be sure! The next time the train goes through a tunnel I’ll make another kissing noise and slap that English jerk again.”
