    Cool!
Look above his hat, and above the D...and the harsh die polishing marks (I assume) all over it. Everything is raised.
And then above the right side flame and the edge of a star in the ring of stars is I believe a gentle die clash from the hair and pony tail.
Pulled this morning... Dimes next @Coinscratch

Bank Score! Bought a roll of $1 and a roll of Halves. Nice results! Some Wide Rims also

    Nice!
Believe it or not I've been searching since before the SBAs came out...I have yet to find a single wide rim :o

    Keep searching.
They're not as rare as you may think.
    I think I found 3 or 4 already?
    :)

    :D
Well! Just tonight, while I was searching through these few $ rolls. Yep, look what I found guys!
    #4 or #5?
:D See. Not too rare at all.
This particular one, is some looker, indeed.

picked up three customer wrapped half dollar rolls from the teller's till. Obvious that a silver searcher had a go at them. Unfortunately for him one does not only go by date when searching for silver, one must be aware of the silver "S" mintmark. He left me this:

    Hard to say.
While they are good finds, they are not rare or even scarce. I sell them (circulated ones) for $5-$6 on ebay. I found at least 1 in each and every box (1000 coins) that I searched through and in one box I found 6 of them. I currently have 41 in stock awaiting ebay. I sell one at a time. Thus said, I have not searched dollar rolls in quite a while.

The second one has much better surfaces.
I still do quite a few small dollars, maybe time for another box.
I posted my results of a box last year and still didn't find one.
Maybe if I give it another 30 years...I should move to a "P" area at some point lol

This one is the nicest in hand.
Total luster bomb and that's not chatter, I believe it might be polishing lines showing...I have it in nearly direct sunlight lol!

Thanks!! Much appreciated. I love 1972 DDO's. I have a pile of them that my dad pulled from rolls from 1972-1975. One day I will have to ID them. They are not the DD0-001 though.

Always wondered why there were so many different DDO vatieties besides the 001 in 72?

Agreed. Looks like if you give it a squeeze between America and Dollar on that Dot it will pop open.
They either open with a squeeze along the edge somewhere or a twist.

Yes, and you can usually tell they are hollow or much lighter. I opened mine by bouncing it off the counter top.

    Nice finds!
However, instead of the "Leaky Bucket" I think the " Doubled Pump Handle" is the key variety?
