My card of the day. Bump is one of only two players in major league history that have the same last name as I do. The other was Kent Hadley who was in the big leagues from 58-60.
1998 Ultra
Pizzazz Platinum Medallion (Series One: serial-numbered to 100 copies (only 90 inserted into packs); Series Two: serial-numbered to 98 copies (only 88 inserted into packs)) NOTE: Fleer randomly inserted ten exchange cards in each series that were good for an entire series set of Platinum Medallions.
That Lawrence Taylor card is absolutely perfect in every aspect. I found him and Andre Dawson on my return flight back from this years National. Andre was up in first class and LT was in the middle at the emergency exit lane next to the window.
Here is one of my absolute favorite cards - regardless of the grade. Just iconic imo.
More Dewey love. I don’t like multi player RCs, so I’ve always preferred Dewey’s 1974 second year card. There are no PSA 10’s of this card and mine is the only autographed PSA 9.
Nolan Arenado signed this one for me. He actually didn't want to sign for anyone on this particular day. He got dropped off from an Uber when The Rockies were playing the Miami Marlins in Miami. I begged and pleaded as I walked with him as he was making his way up to one of the entrances at the Marlins Park stadium just after being dropped off. He wasn't stopping for anyone, that is until I told him "Nolan, please! My team sucks" and he actually stopped. He put down his luggage, took my card and sharpie and gave me this beautiful signature without saying a word. Handed it back to me and walked in a few seconds later. Best day ever!
A rarely seen rookie card of one of the nicest human beings to ever walk the planet, he was also a pretty fantastic baseball player. I mean, thousands of people have played the sport for over a hundred years and a very small percentage would be considered Hall of Famers. And of the small percentage, only one of them earned this nickname. My favorite part about this nickname is no one ever needed to know where it came from, how he got it or why he was...is still the only one.
The Man.

Today's pick came from my To Be Graded pile. 1995 Skybox Premium put out some great looking foil insert sets that year that were very susceptible to chipping and this Standouts Hobby MJ is just gorgeous.
Actually, it wasn’t the personalization that makes me jealous, it was the inscription. I have about 20 Gino autos, but my only MVP inscription is on a crappy looking ball.

Extremely cool and might be Dad's Christmas gift.
Never seen that one in his collection
Dan nailed it. It is a 1968 Topps Team Test card. They measure 4-3/4″ x 2-5/8″ and can be kind of hard to find, though I think there are a couple of Dolphins card currently on eBay. I collected at least one from each AFL team and got it signed by a legend/HOF pictured on the card.
This is a card I don’t own anymore. Not by choice either. I sent it in for a review about two years after I purchased and came back altered. Apparently someone tried to whiten up the left side if I recall and it wasn’t caught on the initial sub. Sucks too. I loved this card. Got a refund back but only for what I paid for originally, not the then going rate which was even more unfortunate because the card certainly had risen in price by that time. I need to pick up another copy eventually.
Holds Braves record for RBI's in a game and only pitcher ever hit two grand slams in one game! He had hit both of his slams by the fourth inning (using Denis Menke's bat!).
Tallulah Bankhead — 'There have been only two geniuses in the world. Willie Mays and Willie Shakespeare.'
1999 Upper Deck
Upper Deck had Ken Griffey, Jr. autograph 100 copies of his landmark 1989 Upper Deck card, and inserted them into Series One packs. To differentiate this card from an ordinary 89 UD card (and to confirm the authenticity of Griffey's autograph), each card contained an additional hologram.

My card of the day, one of the greats I’m proud to have in my collection! 😁

Ed will probably be the last American League pitcher to hit a home run in his last at bat.
