Absolutely love these posts! I have learned a lot out of my comfort zone.
Born on this day in 1905 another Oklahoma slugger! 7 time All-Star who averaged 25 HR, 112 RBI and a .296 AVG. over his 13 year career! Big bucks in todays game!
Tallulah Bankhead — 'There have been only two geniuses in the world. Willie Mays and Willie Shakespeare.'
That is a GORGEOUS ‘39 Play Ball!!!!!!! WOW! After seeing it, I just thought these two should be side by side. They are my two favorite Cards of his, with the ‘36 Goudey Premium “Joe” DiMaggio card being a close 3rd, for me.
Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?
Just got this Venezuelan back from PSA last week. Yellow trophy trumps floating heads anyway, so I’m stoked to own this rarer version of Rose’s first solo Topps card.
Going to add this non-sport card of possibly my favorite artist. Picked it up some years back and don't believe it has much value. 1934 Eckstein Halpus Albrect Durer.

I am just catching up to this thread now. It is a pleasure to see all the different cards and sports represented. It seems I have left Erik alone here to carry the banner for modern basketball cards so let me start off with my favorite card of the next great one. This card is serial numbered to /49.
This set is also available in a "Glowing" parallel. Towards the end of the production run, Fleer ran out of the "starry" holographic foil used on the regular Soaring Stars, and switched to a "glowing" foil. It is believed that 10%-20% of the total production run was printed on "glowing" foil.
Struck out in his only at bat in the Majors. Lon Warneke whiffed him in his teams' last game in 1936. That ended his Cardinals and the Cubs with the same record 87-67 and tied for second. The "Arkansas Hummingbird defeated Dizzy Dean. Born this day in 1911!

My card of the day is just back from PSA and is only the 10th copy ever graded by them. Thanks again, Tim @1951WheatiesPremium , for a fantastic card of “THE BEAST”!
Happy (belated) 83rd birthday Clay! Clay Dalrymple, Rip Russell, Spud Davis, and Pol Perritt are the only players so far to have a 1.000 batting average in the World Series with multiple hits!

I picked this up raw from a dealer a few years back and just recently I asked folks on a forum what they thought. Everyone except for 1 person said it was fake. They kept saying it wasn’t real because Reggie didn’t include his number. Good thing they aren’t autograph authenticators for PSA.

Wont Be long...…
HO HO HO
I purchased this one back around 2015. This one is going to have to be buried with me.
While it is now in a PSA holder, here’s Joe in the state of acquisition. I love the look in the slab but the raw scans are a little better detailed.
