Bye Bye 2019 season...well deserved loss playing football on such a pathetic level versus one of the worst teams in the NFL.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 27,706 ✭✭✭✭✭

This Eagles defense couldn't stop a wounded snail.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 27,706 ✭✭✭✭✭

This Eagles team has just deteriorated from a second tier team into a third tier team.

Hard to believe that before the season, they were up there with the favorites to get to the Super Bowl.

    When's baseball season begin?

I didn't realize until right now that Dan Marino was back at QB for the Dolphins. 😒

Eagles collapsing worse than the Hindenburg. 😒

Go ahead and fire Doug Pederson.

I'll say it again - i think he's on drugs. I think my earlier observation of him was correct. Fire his arze and let him go into rehab.

Might as well get another cheat post in.

I don't like that Perkdog fellow possibly catching up to me in the post count. 😒

It's a shame somebody is going to have to win the NFC East. I've never seen a division this bad from "top" to bottom.

This is for you @thisistheshow - Jim Rice was actually a pretty good player.
  • stevekstevek Posts: 27,706 ✭✭✭✭✭

Go ahead Dolphins, blow the Eagles out.

i'm rooting for a higher draft pick right now.

The Humming Birds are back. Like I said, the team with the least losses will win the NFC East and then will be quickly escorted from the play-offs. These guys can’t show up to play when their post season hopes depend on it.

The entire NFC East division should be made to play in the upcoming XFL. Maybe they could win a few games there?

Only a pick-6 can save this game.

Maybe Dallas and Philadelphia can trade head coaches? Neither one of them can get their teams to show up when it counts.

Wentz did throw three TDS. That’s the best he’s done this year, which is not outstanding.

I am still not on his bandwagon and probably never will be.

Definitely one of the biggest disappointments this year. The Eagles have the talent to be a top team in the league.

That link above just shows how insane some Philly fans are. How the heck is today’s Eagles loss all on Wentz? The Offense put up 31 points and the D let up what? 37 points? To Mr.September himself Ryan Fitzpatrick??? The D should absolutely be ashamed of themselves

Wentz was a flash in the pan. He was great for a short while, but after his injury, he lost it. For whatever reason, Nick Foles worked in the Philadelphia system. He failed in St. Louis and now in Jacksonville, but not in Philadelphia. He’s probably washed up now, but it was fun while it lasted.

The Eagles are like the Phillies. Success is fleeting and rare. We Eagles fans need to hunker down and realize that the organization is not oriented toward long time success. It comes in spurts, and Philadelphia fans have to enjoy it when it comes. It will be a few or many years before success returns. The beginning will come when the Eagles management realizes that Wentz is a second rate quarterback who will never take this team to greatness. What you Wentz fans saw in 2018 is gone now.

You don’t lose to Fitzpatrick if you are a play-off team. The 2019 Eagles season is over. Let these losers wallow in their overpaid failures, and turn the page on them. They can lose for the rest of season in hopes of drafting some players who want to play. Maybe a new coach would be a good idea too.

Wentz is washed up. He is like Drew Bledsoe at the end of career. He looked good on paper, but did not have goods to deliver a successful season.

My point was that it’s lunacy to put it on Wentz when the D let’s up 37 points to the Fish led by a Ryan Fitzpatrick

Quality, first rate quarterbacks come in and dominate the time of possession once they get the lead on a team like Miami. Weintz failed to do that. He no longer has the talent to close out games.

That’s okay. He’s overrated because of 10 games in 2018. There are many other pro quarterbacks who have done much more, but in the minds of many Eagles’ fans, he’s up there with the best. He isn’t.

Yea, i initially thought the great feeling about that would last at least 25 years, and it wouldn't matter all that much if Philly won another Super Bowl before then. Well that "great feeling" lasted one year, the Eagles didn't get there last season and that was okay. However now we want another one!

But obviously it ain't happening this season.

Well, I'm not going to say you're wrong. However i will say the book is still open on that.

I'm not going to sugar coat it. Wentz for whatever reason is not the same quarterback he was before the ACL tear. Whether it's mental or physical, or perhaps both, i do not know.

That's where coaching can come in, and i do not see the same quality coaching that was there in the 2017 season. Especially in the game plan and adjustments made during the game. It could very well be that other coaches have caught on to Doug Pederson's coaching tendencies, and have taken full advantage of that knowledge to beat him.

It would have been interesting to see what the season would have been like with DeSean Jackson in there, but it was not to be. And from what I've been reading it may never be, as rumor has it Jackson will be released or traded. Probably the Eagles will wait to see until one of the early camps to make that decision.

I was actually waiting for Steve to at least comment on it but apparently not. I’m not a fan of Wentz, I think he is grossly overrated and the team doesn’t want to play for him but regardless that loss is not on him. I’m being totally serious too

i almost mentioned Parker when i posted on Saturday night. i was going to say something along the lines of, "hoping for a monster game from DeVante Parker, but a Philly win," but ultimately i decided against it because he is on my $$$ league fantasy team and i didn't want to jinx his performance. since week 9, he is third in targets as it pertains to wide receivers. surely the Eagles knew that coming into the game. i didn't watch any of it, but i did see one of this touchdowns in the corner of the end zone. he was in fact doubled, but it didn't matter because he high-pointed the ball over the smaller Philly d-backs.

i think Wentz is damaged goods, but yesterday was not on him. there are real issues in the secondary.

The CU Sports Talk jinx is alive and real. It's not some imaginary fictional monster, it's a real life gremlin ready to change the score of a game if provoked by a boastful pick.

The thing is though you really have to mean it for the jinx to work otherwise the gremlin will know you're kidding around and not change anything.

Now excuse me, the nurse is about to spoon feed me lunch. It looks like creamed oatmeal again as usual. But today it's with bananas. Yummy!

Steve that’s why I always try to sniff out your reverse jinx attempts. Although they are a little harder to see I also work hard to find your double reverse jinx as well 👍👍

I can see both sides of the argument. Carson Wentz certainly hasn't been the same since the ACL injury, but anytime you give up 37 points, you're going to have trouble. The Eagles have issues all around.

Yea I’m not saying Wentz is innocent and playing at a level that all Philly fans thought he was capable of but this last game the Philly D should all be to blame and embarrassed by getting disected by Fitzpatrick

Yes, you just can't allow Miami to put up 37 against you. That's ridiculous. Ryan Fitzpatrick's beard even scored a touchdown. They just had their way with the Eagles defense.

Last Sunday one of the Fox channel comedians made the comment that the Miami game was a Christmas gift to Eagles’ fans. As it turned the fans got a gift from Zwada Pete, the Dutch alternative to Santa Claus for bad children. I don’t know what we did to deserve a lump of coal instead of candy, but we might be in for visits from the coal dump truck for the rest of the season from this team.

Tomorrow night against the Giants will be the Eagles’ last gasp. They lose to the 2 and 10 Giants with a rusty, old quarterback at the helm, they may as well forfeit the rest of their games and apply for membership in the XFL.

Eagles win this game tonight with no problem.

Eli will have his moments, but overall he will remind the Giants fans why he was benched in the first place.

I'll be shocked if the Eagles lose this game. But of course I was shocked last week when the Eagles lost to a pitiful Dolphins team.

So who the yell knows anymore with this Eagles team. Doctor Jekyll or Mr Hyde? We shall see which one shows up.
