Found out about his work on the forum. Not as easy to find as Dans. I did watch two on Ebay and they were expiring tonight. Got the email reminder so went to take a look. Both were BIN or best offer. What the heck, I made an offer on one. He accepted !
If you have any of his please post them. Fill in any info you may know about him and his work.

I'm a big fan of GMM and Ron Landis. That's a great type. It's one of the first dollar concept coins and has a big history of starting the discussion rolling. There's some information on your piece on SmallDollars.com:
http://www.smalldollars.com/dollar/page17.html
There are a number of pieces posted in this thread:

Thanks ! I'll enjoy reading your links. @coinsarefun posted a fantastic set in this thread https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1010231/post-your-favorite-exonumia-purchase-of-2018#latest
I'm aa rail fan so I collected these.

This is a pattern die trial. I love it because it does not have “copy’” stamped on it.

I have a whole bunch of his stuff. Early cents, 1796 year set, 1804 dollar, some concept dollars, and a die trial in wax on a scratch-off ticket.

I have a lot of GMM items. They may actually be the largest part of my collection.
I just picked up 2 of the 1794 no-stars J-18 pattern in copper, with COPY on each side.
One of the neatest pieces I have is what may be a unique silver specimen of the 2004 Liberty Dollar 6th Anniversary piece. It was struck with a screw press onsite at at Liberty Dollar event by Joe Rust and Ron Landis who also performed as the Doe Brothers. I also have a few of the pewter pieces. Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of it right now. Here's some info:
https://sites.google.com/site/libertydollarencyclopedia/the-pewter-piece
I also have their bluegrass CD "Rollin' in the Doe."

Here's one of mine with a photo. This isn't technically a GMM piece as GMM stopped production in 2005, but it was created by Ron Landis. This is also unique.
I'm a big fan of these and have a few. A great way to take photos of these is to line up the reverses as a train with the engine in the front followed by the coal bin, other cars, and finally the caboose.
I have a pair of these as well and similar to what you posted earlier, mine has copy stamped on it like yours. It just that they come in two pieces. For the regular issues, you could order Gallery Mint pieces with copy stamped on the obverse or the reverse so if you have a pair of those, it provides a similar result. This is the case of the J-18 pattern I referenced above.
Here's an example. Note that Copy is on the reverse on top and obverse below.

Thanks for these wonderful examples. He is much more popular and accomplished than I realized. That is one of the great things about this forum: revealing good artistic metalic art to the unaware. Another area of collecting just added to my numismatic interests.
Interesting from @keets that PCGS graded some of Ron's pieces. A president for grading Dan Carr's work?
Now to studying the links that were shared so freely above. My morning is going to fly by.
Have fun with your unique NEWP
PCGS grades them now.

I think I've shown this before, but here it goes again.
Twenty-two Sacagawea Dollars were counterstamped by Ron Landis on February 24, 2001.
Sorry, not sure on that.
My one and only
And well circulated example of the real thing. This is tough coin to find and even harder to pay for. This is the rarest type in the half cent to silver dollar set.
Just picked up this one

Ron is making a small amount struck on a screw press. Also he is playing around with some of his punches.

A few more
Ron Landis is getting back into the minting business, below are a few of his examples.
He is selling his creations on Facebook in very small quantities and in most cases unique(for now)
He is working on a website to sell the ones he decides to make a small mintage of.
.
These are all hot struck pieces and love his new logo. Ancient Roots.

And, finally got some nice pics of the 1995 struck over a Sac golden dollar.
I don't think he could have placed it any better when he did the overstrike

Can you show us a picture of the mirror you used to take the edge pics?

Great stuff here. Thanks for sharing. I will have to keep my eye out for a few of these.

That Landis 1995 GMM piece is graded by ZSSS (ZoidMeister's Self Slab Service) and is in the uber rare grade of ZM-100 (on an awesomness scale of 1 to 99) . . . . .
