Fitzpatrick has been passed around even worse than Johnson. I don't see the same thing happening with the Bucs this season despite their good start. Besides, if Fitzpatrick has one or two bad games, Winston may be right back in there, doing what he does best - losing.
No Super Bowl possibility for the Bucs.
Plus...those Bucs had Gruden for their coach.
But "Chuckie" lost the touch a couple years later and got the ax after a .500 or close to .500 season. I would not rate him among the elite coaches, and I think that his shelf life with the Raiders will a lot less than 10 years.
I agree.....and a LOT of coaches don't last in a lot of teams in the NFL I don't know how Garrett has lasted this long in Dallas!!
He must have naked pictures of Jones' wife (which is just a scary thought)!.

Admittedly, an ACL tear in the second season of a QB who has definite HOF potential, does frighten me.
Especially because Wentz was injury prone in college.
Look, if it happens then it happens. Wentz helped us to our first Super Bowl championship and if someone told me the moment he was drafted by the Eagles that Wentz will help bring one Super Bowl to Philly, and nothing else...i would have gladly taken it.

You know that based on number of Super Bowls played and the number of them won by an NFC East team.....
The NFC East has to be considered the best Division in the NFL........thanks mostly to the Cowboys by the way.

I think Wentz is going to struggle coming back from injury. It happens to pretty much every player that returns from an ACL tear, ask Deshaun Watson about it.
I don't think the Eagles will make the playoffs this year.

If Wentz stays healthy, the Eagles are a lock to make the playoffs.
If he doesn't stay healthy, then you may turn out to be right about the Eagles not getting into the payoffs.
Fortunately for the Eagles in their division, the Giants and Redskins are weak, and the Cowboys just never seem to get it together. So in my opinion, if Wentz gets hurt again, the Eagles making it to the playoffs might be a coin flip.
I hear ya about the ACL tear, and I'm not going to try to whitewash it. However Wentz has a few things going for him with this.
He's one of the smartest QB's I've ever seen, so he will quickly learn to adjust his plants to account for the weakened leg.
He is still young, and being young does help the body to heal better versus an older athlete.
Wentz has looked crisp and sharp in practice from what i've read, and yes, that's not a game, but Wentz has showed in the past that he plays well fresh.
He's been injured before, and responded well. I've never had any major injury, but I think the mental part of it may be as important as the physical part of it. Wentz seems to go thru rehabilitation with good focus and attitude to properly get back on the field. I think he's very hungry to win his own Super Bowl as QB.

We were able to push though a close one this week. We are now 2 and 1, but the birds are going to have to look stronger than this to really contend.

Not winning pretty like we often did last season, but I'll still take 2-1.
Wentz now has a game under his belt, and the Eagles are still a young football team. So they should improve as the season marches on.
With a healthy Wentz along with their "stubborn" defense when it counts, I expect the Eagles to be in every game this season, get into the playoffs, and then we shall see what happens.
The game next Sunday against the Titans should be an interesting test.
1) Bucs just wasted the Eagles...again
2) Dungy couldn't win the big one, Gruden put us over the top
3) We still wasted the Eagles

7) The road to the super bowl goes through Tampa Bay.
Class dismissed.
Bears leading the Bucs 38-3 at halftime...HALFTIME.
Did Bucs fans really believe that Ryan Fitzpatrick was suddenly going to morph into a superstar quarterback for the entire season at the age of 35?
My guess is that we won't be seeing Walt on Sports Talk today. LOL
Future HOFer if he stays healthy, Carson Wentz firing on all cylinders today. This is bad news for the rest of the NFL.
Now if Doug Pederson can please do what I told him to do. If the Eagles score another touchdown, please, PLEASE take Wentz out of the game and let Foles mop-up.

As Grote stated, "The Cowboys have won two playoff games in the past quarter century."
If Jerry Jones would have won no playoff games during that time, I'd love him even more.
And each season his team doesn't win any playoff games or even make the playoffs, I love him more and more...more and more and more. LOL
You sound like I used to feel about the late Yankee owner, George Steinbrenner.
Only you bronc!
Yes, the Bucks are back to reality and team we locals have come to expect. There are some good pieces, but never a unit that can never get much above .500.
Walt last seen ready to jump into shark infested waters in the Gulf of Mexico.
Don't do it Walt, don't do it.
Not until I can purchase some sort of life insurance policy on ya. LOL
Chit, i may have inadvertently spoken too soon.
I knew it after winning the Super Bowl...Wentz got injured, now Cox gets injured.
Probably another 50 years of bad luck coming now.
