wtf is the deal with this forum and linking an image?

If I want to embed graphics a dialog pops up with a box that says url , I'm not allowed to paste into the box it just disappears . Do they expect you to actually type the url ? Its like 200 characters long

For a while it worked if I had the image on my hard drive but not anymore, can't upload or link now

Steve “If he lived in the Wild West back in the 1800’s they would have called him a Confidence Man” K , we shall see how it plays out although they will be hard pressed to find a franchise QB in next year’s draft. I bet Mayfield and Allen turn out to be the best QB’s from last year, maybe they should have grabbed Allen not sure.

<<< Steve “If he lived in the Wild West back in the 1800’s they would have called him a Confidence Man” K >>>

Paul - Show me one specific post out of my 20,254 posts which leads you to say that. Just one post is all. But don't worry about it because you won't find one that legitimizes your inane remark. And If you can't understand the difference between having fun talking smack and/or expressing a strong viewpoint about a subject, versus a con man, then i really feel sorry for you.

Steve, really? I’m joking around with you. but whatever i guess you can’t remember the countless times over the years that I have referred you to a fast talking guy but always in jest? It’s all good though, oh and as far as feeling sorry for me gimme a break I’m doing just fine and don’t take CU so serious like you. I mean your the one that people should feel bad for, your THAT guy that spouts off about how awesome he is here like people actually believe you or care for that matter.

Whatever you just stated, it's not even close to what is considered to be a con man.

My posts regarding your interpretation of "spouts off about how awesome he is" are just my way of having fun. Sorry Paul but if you wish to take it the wrong way, then that's your problem, not mine.

And this type of response is why I jokingly referred to you as a con man, you twist words and spin things to back up your point, most always avoiding your original delivery, usually it’s funny and good for the banter but not with is as far as Im concerned. And that works both ways big guy, I think your the one with the problem, your not going to throw your fast talk at me then make it look I have the issue, your the one who got all sensitive and turned it into this not me. Since your getting all uptight why not log off and start another long break like you did before when you got laughed out of here for your disgusting defending of your hero Paterno.

I've briefly explained before that my "long break" had nothing to do with any member. Nobody laughed me out of here.

You disappoint me Paul, i thought you were better than this. But don't worry about it. LOL

By the way, i like it here, always have, and plan on staying a very long time. Get used to it.

Now the next post from you in this thread better be something positive or negative about the Eagles. ;)

That's a gif image. The software here may not allow that for various reasons, probably because it uses a lot of server space for its size. I don't recall seeing a gif image on here with the new forum software.

They allow the Youtube posts because they are clicked on and off, whereby the gif things moves constantly, using server space and adding to the server costs.

That's my two cents. Maybe I'm wrong on that, and Paul may chime in laughing and tell me I'm wrong. LOL

I thought you were better than this too Steve, but let’s be real I’m not disappointed any more than you are. Let’s leave it at that, and I won’t crap up your Eagles thread anymore. I sincerely hope the Eagles make the Super Bowl again as well as the Pats and the Pats smash them. How’s that grab ya 🤷‍♂️

Paul, you know I like you. If the feeling isn't mutual then that's okay. I'm not looking to date you. LOL

And thanks for reminding me, in my current angst regarding the Eagles performance this season, i almost forgot they won the Super Bowl last season. :D

Steve I like you too, always have but I refuse to let anyone give me a dig while being serious which you were. I can stand the heat in the kitchen like anyone and always enjoy going back and forth with someone either while respectfully disagreeing or just in fun. You knew I was joking but you decided to play the offended card and I’m not giving you or anyone a free pass on that crap. I’m not trying to date you either heck I’m not even trying to have a drink with you lol but I like to type what Id be saying face to face. So again let’s move on and glad I reminded you the Eagles won the Super Bowl.

Patriots have no chance of winning the Super Bowl this season, and it's highly unlikely they will ever win another one with Tom Brady as their quarterback.

Overly pampered Patriots fans such as Paul who are spoiled rotten from years of Patriots success, won't like hearing that, but the problem is Brady's age, and despite his great conditioning and strict dietary regimen, he's just not going to have the energy level at the end of a long season necessary to get the job done.

The Eagles meanwhile, despite their floundering this season because of future HOF candidate Carson Wentz coming off an ACL tear, plus an unbelievable amount of injuries, and a coaching staff performance that for various reasons is not of the same caliber as last season, the future looks very bright indeed. If Wentz can stay healthy, and the coaches get a very stern talking to by Jeff Lurie, I think the Eagles win another one or two Super Bowls in the five years.

But I have to agree with ya this season about the Eagles, the odds of them winning the Super Bowl are extremely remote. Making it to the playoffs is going to be tough enough. However I did like the way they stepped it up against the Giants to beat them after giving them a large lead...gives me a little bit of hope yet for this season. :)

No problem Paul. Perhaps we interpret the meaning of a "con man" in different ways. No big deal either way.

Could be an extremely interesting game, Eagles versus Cowboys in two weeks. The Eagles looking for payback and hopefully beating the Cowboys at home, for them beating the Eagles at home earlier this season.

Presuming the Cowboys probably lose to the Saints this Sunday, while the Eagles likely beat the Redskins on Monday, there would be a three way tie for first place in the NFC East. All teams would be 6-6, a division mired in mediocrity. :|

I sort of agree with your analysis on Brady believe it or not, but at the same time finding it hilarious that your putting even a little faith in an Eagle resurgence over a gutsy street fight win over a hapless Giants team 👌

Gotta have faith, especially coming off a championship season. Frankly, at this point if the Eagles get into the playoffs and win at least one game, I'll consider it a decent season, considering all the circumstances.

That's my hope and I'm sticking to it. :)

But at least it will be fun to have at least one team in the play-offs if it's only for the first round.

As for the Eagles, one can hope, but if they were the "real deal" this year, they should have been kicking the Giants' butts from the opening kick-off instead of falling behind 19-3. You can't do that with most of the teams in the NFL and hope to win.

I would be shocked if the Redskins beat the Eagles Monday Night. First off the Skins always suck on prime time games -- they always lose and usually play horribly. Second they are a team in disarray. I am expecting a total collapse in the home stretch. I was shocked to see Dallas beat NO -- if they can beat the Saints they can beat anybody.

Never overestimate the fall 2018 Eagles. They have pulled defeat from the jaws a victory too many times this season. As Jimmy Johnson indicated a couple of weeks ago, they have played like a legacy team instead of a defending champion.

I'm not even worried about the Eagles being 5-6.

i mean there's still 151 games to play yet in the 162 game season, so a comeback is definitely possible.

Still plenty of time left to get into the playoffs and then hopefully win the World Series.

A 90 yard run for the Redskins ...

All the Hummingbird defense did was suck and buzz ...

You need more than stop signs on defense.

    Pathetic :s

The best the Hummingbirds’ coach can think of is a run to the center of line on 4th and goal from the two. Of course they should have scored three plays ago.

The differences between this team from this year and last year is huge.

Don't worry Hummingbird fans. If you can't beat a Sanchez led team......you don't deserve to even be in the NFL. He is worthless. He is another "neverwas" like that jerk that the Rams drafted years ago that was so good in college and never did a thing in the NFL. Can't think of his name. He went to the Vikes and played like crap there too. He might still be there as backup........or flipping bergers at McDonalds. He might not even be able to do that with his hand eye corridination(sp).

1st & goal on the 5 ... and then interception and a big Redskin return.

    The Hummingbirds beat themselves.

The Eagles are going to need to bring their A game to Dallas, and I think they will.

This is not like the Aikman led team of the 90's where all they had to do was show up and win. So it will be interesting to see how the Boys do the week after they held one of the best offense's in the NFL to 10 points. And we gave them their only TD by running into the kicker. :s

But you know how it works in sports. Teams can "bounce" off a big game win such as that. Especially in the game of football where emotion plays such a big part of it, being the brutal game that it is.

I realize the Eagles are 2-0 and beat two bad teams in their last two starts. But they seem to have a nice quiet confidence growing, and I doubt if they fear going into Dallas one bit. And they come into Dallas with a bit of a chip on their shoulder for getting beat by Dallas at the Linc earlier in the season.

Without question, we all know it, that it's a must win game for the Eagles to have any discernible chance of making the playoffs. Whereby it's not a must win game for the Cowboys.

I think all the intangibles favor the Eagles in this contest, and we'll just have to wait and see which way the ball bounces.

I'm calling an Eagles win by 3 to 7 points.

I don't see how this game is more important for the Eagles than Cowboys. If the Eagles win we would have the same record and the Eagles would have the tie breaker with more wins in the division. The loser of this game will not be out of it nor will the winner have it made, but I do WANT this win and the sweep of the Hummingbirds for the season. ;)

The Eagles have a tougher row of stumps to pull than I first thought. They have to play a Dallas in Dallas, Houston, which is a tougher nut than anyone imagined, the L.A. Juggernauts and Washington at home. If the Eagles win after playing that schedule, they deserve to be in the playoffs.

If they play the second Dallas game the way they did the first and the New Orleans games, I guess l’ll be off your Christmas card list. Getting beat because the other guys are better is one thing; rolling over is another.

I didn't fully realize until just now, how many mean and nasty people there were on CU who repeatedly post negative remarks about my beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Because of that, it is with deep regret that certain members here have been removed from my holiday greeting card mailing list.

Are you saying that the Saints and Cowboys are not better than the Hummingbirds!? :o

I'd say the Saints are head and shoulders better than the other two. Eagles and Cowboys are a pick-em. JMHO.

The Eagles should have beaten the Cowboys in the Philadelphia home game. Dallas is tough to beat at home.

I’m really not picking on you Steve or your 🦅’s. I sincerely think Dallas is coming into this game pretty hot and will be hard to beat. It’s a huge game so I expect it to be bitterly contested. I don’t care either way who wins so I will say good luck to Steve & Dime

If the Saints are head and shoulders better than the Cowboys.........why didn't they beat us instead of only scoring 10 points of which 7 was given to them on the dumb ruffing call!! :o;)

That game was fixed. There is a huge congressional investigation going on right now, in which it's been alleged that the brother-in-law of Drew Brees bet 10 million dollars to win on the Cowboys.

I got a chuckle on that one. Speaking of congressional investigation........Have you seen the 1973 movie "Executive Action". It is a movie about the JFK Assination(sp). Very interesting....check it out.
