His wisdom will live in those threads that are buried here, and when they are resurrected with some of his wit left behind, we can remember the donuts given electronically to him by all of us. When I last saw Bear and Mrs Bear..he was holding her hand like a high school kid.
I told him "I want what you have" , and I didn't mean money.
He loved his wife more than anything....
I hope to have that someday !

I am so very very sad to hear this - I was hoping he would be able to beat his health issues. Abe/Bear was one of the most kindest, thoughtful, positive people on these boards. We here have truly lost one of the best guys in our industry. I am heartsick. I will say a prayer for his family and hope that they know he will never be forgotten as long as he lives in our hearts.

Very, very sad news indeed. Mr. Bear was a sincere and passionate member of this Forum. He will be sorely missed. I am happy for him that he was able to enjoy a last great run building a collection before his health failed him, and will miss hearing him discuss it here. I met Abe and had lunch with him at a Long Beach show several years ago. He was a very pleasant man and I enjoyed his company. He had some very nice commems with him at the time and was excited about the hobby. He will be missed.0
