    << <i>For your 1972 question is it "1 hitters" >>

No, but nice try. If they all have pitched 1-hitters it is strictly a coincidence. Don't forget this is an exclusive club with no other members. Many pitchers not pictured here have thrown 1-hitters.

Whomever gets this one is either a true baseball historian...or a lucky guesser!

Mouth breathers??? True, but not the correct answer. Michael, the answer has nothing to do with statistics. Have fun with it, keep trying.

Here is a hint for the 1972 mystery theme. Note that all 24 teams (the total number at that time) are represented here.

    All staff aces?

    << <i>All staff aces? >>

That's a matter of opinion. Remember that Blyleven was only in his 2nd season while Minnesota had the 1970 Cy Young winner in Jim Perry. Baltimore had the likes of Dave McNally and future HOFer Jim Palmer. Not bad, Bobby, keep at it.

Oops, I forgot to mention Baltimore's Mike Cuellar.

KRATHE, My sincerest apologies. I didn't see your post before replying to Bobby's. You are indeed correct. Since I can't take back the crown I have bestowed upon Bobby, I will make you the honorary owner of all my cards for the remainder of the weekend. Sorry for the oversight.
