My cc line of credit has been debited with a hold for $1,193.95 (coin plus shipping) and the book changed from "backordered" to "in stock and reserved" overnight. Both cancel boxes are gone and the anticipated shipping date is gone as well. Now to keep an eye on when FedX/US Mail tracking appears. Still a waiting game, but it looks like the wheels are turning.

This is really nice coin. My camera leaves much to be desired. I could not get a good front shot that was recognized. The UHR has a prooflike finish on these. This is the book, outer box, wood case and the front and back. C.O.A. has a nice image on the front.

I have no idea why mine came when it did. My oder was placed near 1:00 P.M.. Three days later my cancel box was gone. I waited, checked it each day. Then they sent the e-mail on the shipping. I have others still showing 02-06-09 ship date (ordered thru faimily in other cities). Do not know if the cards have had the credit blacked out yet. The UHR is real nice. When you see it you will be glad you bought it. This goes to PCGS tomorrow. Look up at my earlier comments for the FS and non FS Coin number.

The US Mint has announced a new return policy, which cuts the eligible return period from 30 days to only 7 calendar days. The new policy will go into effect tomorrow February 10, 2009 at 8:00 AM.

I know this isnt proof, but those images are of a coin that appears incredibly shinny rather than the matte finish on modern Gold eagles. I guess if you strike it enough times it will appear that way.

I looked at the UHR under a white light with a 8x glass. Did not see anything. I expect a 70. There was no visable handling issues. This is in route now to PCGS.

Sun? what Sun .... all I see is rays ... are you sure it would qualify for the special? In addition, I was under the impression that the coin would not qualify because it cost more than 1K. Has any one been in contact with PCGS to confirm if it qualifies?

Quarterly special....Sun on reverse.....Gold around 900 ....I value it at 1000 (The limit)...Because I over paid for it does not mean it is worth it. ..... Of course if it gets lost in mail, I will be paid 1000

I called the Mint a little while ago, and she said that I was scheduled to ship on the 11th according to her screen. We'll see.
If this lasts much longer, I may just try and buy one from someone that already has one, and cancel my order with the Mint.
