Well guys, with the help of Brent's Bob Horner card (thanks brotha!

) my Master and Basic sets are at 100% complete!

Now, I have to find a way to get a 23% increase in set rating to pass Brent!

I'll be updating my 'trade/sell' set soon and putting that one up for sale at some point. Then, I can put those funds towards picking up a few PSA 10 upgrades or upgrading the last couple of DKs that I have in PSA 8.

How are the rest of your sets going?

I've tried to pick up a couple of 10's on ebay lately, and Upsala is still gobbling up all that shows up. Oh well, he has a long way to go.

The guys who have been gobbling up the 84 D's on ebay for the past few months aren't on this thread or even registered with PSA yet that we know of. Upsalaallamerican has been paying whatever it takes to get the cards he needs. Upwards of $400 for PSA 10 commons with low pops. Pjpmint has been buying everything else. And there has been two others lately pushing up the prices. If any two of these guys needs something, the price goes crazy. If not, the 10's can go as low as $10. It just depends on who needs what. These guys seem to have endless bank accounts. Glad you got some good money for yours!

Wow $400 for a low pop common, it is crazy prices like that, that has me thinking of cards as an investment and seeing that they must know they will never get their money back on such a purcharse.

Finally got some poppage on my 84 Donruss submission. Not too bad for my first submission I guess. Out of 19 cards, I got 5 10's, 13 9's, and 1 8. I don't know how in the heck I got an 8, but I did. I sure did want the Mattingly to be a 10, but oh well, maybe next time.

The Don Mattingly PSA 9 has been reserved by a fellow board member. I'm keeping the Nolan for the time being, and the 5 PSA 10's will go up on ebay (at least that's my plan for now) .

To any board member that wants them, I will sell the following (12) 9's as ONE lot only for $75.00 (and that includes insured shipping to you in the Continental USA (basically just recouping my grading fee and shipping/insurance/paypal fees, etc)) . I'm not interested in piecemealing them out one here and one there, so they are only available as a lot, if not sold here, they'll just go to ebay as well.

My grades just popped today so it will be a few days before I have them in hand. I'll ship once I get them back from PSA.

I just picked up a couple 84D sets that were kept in a binder and some of the cards have a very light yellowing along the top border on the back. How does PSA view this type of aging stain on this set? Any chance of a 10 having a very light yellowing?

My sub from April just popped. I am very pleased with the results. For the 1984 Donruss, I got all the cards I needed to finish my set in 9 or better, and got several 10's to upgrade some of my 9's and a few low pops also. For anyone interested, the 1986 cards except for the Clemens card, have not had any cards graded a 9 or a 10, so I guess they are all 1/1's.

Great job....wow, when I looked at the pop numbers on some of these, it made this sub even that much more impressive!

I did come across some nice low pop cards to submit. The #8 Dravecky card has been impossible for me to find, and then I get two to submit and both get 9's. Same for the #16 Young cards. With a pop of 2 in 9 and no 10's, this card has been impossible for a lot of people.

The #15 Parrish card had a pop of 0 in grade of 10, and so did #447 Power, and #175 Wilson. Another interesting card is the #638 Hough card-pop of 30 in grade 9 and only one 10 before I got these two. There are a half dozen more pop 1 and 2's in a grade of 10 that made this a most satisfying submission. Kind of makes up for some disappointments in the past. I did spend a lot of time-more than I usually do- checking the cards before sending them in. I guess it paid off.

Anyway, I did put the cards in my registry set that I wanted to from the submission. Brent and Arny, the cards I have from your lists are as follows: Just Arny: #18 Steele, 549 and 471. Just Brent: #442. Both of you: #8 Steele, #16 Steele, #175, #441, #638 and possibly 271. I have had inquiries on several of the cards. The cards are mostly all difficult or very low pops. To be fair to everyone, I don't know what else to do but put them up on ebay. Do either one of you have an offer I can't refuse. PM me if you do.

Above I said possibly on the #271. The reason I said that is that I noticed that the cards have color variations. See scans below. There are a few other cards that have noticeable color variations also. It might be fun to get these as part of the set also.

It looks like ebay has been flooded with PSA 10 cards for the last few weeks. Last time I checked there were 173 PSA 10 cards listed. Anyone else think that is an all time high? Looks like 4 sharp corners is submitting a bunch of cards.

Hey guys,

Been a while since I've been around. Been through some pretty rough personal things (if you can avoid divorce, I recommend it at all costs).

In any case, I'm gonna be moving out of state soon and need to unload some cards. Unfortunately, the '84 Donruss sets I started need to go.

I'll probably add another post with a better breakdown of what I've got, but for now you can look at my PSA graded cards on the registry:
