<< <i>I bet these are flying of the shelf at the Mint, driven by speculation.

The prices seem to be holding @ $175-$200, for a graded 69.

I hope it's not one of those, "damn it, why didn't I back up the truck"! >>

Raw has been around $180 to $205.

It'll be interesting to see when these slow in the next week or so.

Well, what is the consensus so far? Come on, some of you guys must be at least leaning towards an opinion on where these could wind up. Personally, me, I stink at math (I can figure out my sales tax, thats all I need to know), but seriously, the way they are coming out...the boards right here have been its own test group. Anyone willing to throw one out there and see where it sticks? Me, I havent got a clue either way.

There are some for sale on the BST for $135..so thats either a deal or they've dropped over $50

I believe they are going to be under 2006 numbers! They were sold in groups with in less than a two week time frame...and no one else seems to be getting any when ordered!

Which leads me to belive they were produced by one die run! Which is how many before the die wears out!

I bought two, one MS69 and one MS70...so lets see!

Don't judge the market by my sell prices. I was just blowing some coins out to fellow board members at a good deal. I am being over run by PM's!!!! I have upped to $180 per coin.

I was pissed that I was declined, and used a derogatory term.

I hope I didn't offend anyone, if so, I apologize for my choice of words.

Wasn't the '06-W mintage over 500,000 including sets & single sales?
Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
  • Options
Well if the mintage comes in under 30K you could be looking down the road of a $5000 dollar coin, if you compare it to the 95 W Proof, in MS69! It would be nice to know you had a couple of them or at least one!

Well for the 06 W Reverse Proof we know for sure there were only 250K...for the uncs it is 250K ++++.

So what we are hoping for is for the mintage of the 08/07 is to come under the mintage of the 95 W Proof.

Now that is a great sense of humor, Russ. I appreciate it.

I guess it depends on the mint from here on out. If the spigot(s) have been turned off and the "event" is over, these will dry up very quickly. I have a hard time believing that more than 10k or 15k exist based on die life. Of course if the mint gets stupid and continues producing the coins in the new batch(s) then prices will fall.

Edited for my usual spelling errors.

There are still some NGC MS69 available for $187.50 shipped at MCM. Does anyone have actual numbers on how many varieties have been graded by NGC?

Yes. That is the total amount they believe were made based on 15 dies used X 3 shifts.
  • Options
15 dies? Sounds like the mint planned on doing this rather than a mistake.
  • Options
    15 DIES?!!!

dang, that sure does sound intentional, doesn't it?

Is the 47,000 estimate across all finishes or is it just the "W" collector coins? 47K is still a paltry amount IMHO and is still a winner.

    Sweet!

50K would be above the 1995-W(30K) but well below 2006 ASE reverse Proof(250K).

Based on large ASE collector base IMO prices will settle north of $300 but below $1000

No, The 06-W Uncircs was 250,000 in anniversary sets and I think 213,000 in singles, 463,000 total seems to stick in my memory.

does NGC have current pop reports for these?

Sounds like the mint has this one wrapped up. If so, new orders for the ASE's should diminish due to the price.

Now with this news and everyone rushing to buy the 2007 reverse will this boost or diminish total 2008 with 2008 reverse sales going forward.

How long til we see two coin holders??
  • Options
I would expect to see the NGC "multi" holders soon. That would make a very nice 2 coin presentation!
