<< <i>i'm still holding on my estimate of around 5-7% find on these 07 reverses (in total)
I'm guessing that most of what has been released by the mint up until the current Backorder is either in-hand or in-route. This will be the end of this variety from the Mint. In all I'll wager that the total released will be under 10,000. JMO!
That is a "just-rite #" not so rare as to make it un-collectable, but scarce enough to command a nice premium, and should become a Redbook var. JMO again!

I would have to say that there are a few die hard forum members who are here all the time and know quite a bit, and feel comfortable on computers. The average Coin World /Numismatic Mews subscriber probably isnt on here all the time, may not be as comfortable getting their news via the computer, and may not even like Ebay/Teletrade due to security concerns. When the news does hit--i expect big things.

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set: 1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S. Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

I got my May 5th issue on Friday. Some will get their paper copy on Monday...that should spark some interest. Then the followup article on May 12th. I find it interesting how many have come up goose egg lately. This could really be short-lived...mintage that is. The Mint was good at squelching the Monroe dollar/quarter planchet...none found. I would think they got on top of this after your discovery.

Jim...Do you think I should mention where I got this one from? I cannot guarantee that folks will get one just like this, but I want to be sensitive to the fact that if I divulge the source of this awesome coin, it might cause someone to run out of stock! I may have said too much already! If you want, i'll erase all trace of this miraculous find, as this may just be too much to handle.
Hey Allen- We are practically neighbors. I am in Dartmouth Small World. I have an order coming in this coming week of 100- (2 batches of 50 each)- I placed the order and they already pulled the $$$ from my Pay Pal account . Hopefully I will get some 07 reverses
Last week I opened a box on thursday the 24th. ALL 5 were 2007 reverses. Packed and then shipped on the 22nd
Does everyone think Paying $200 a coin is too much??? I got some already just in case all I get is the 5 already Delivered from the us mint. (ALL 5 were 2007 rev) I have seen some below that but the 200 mark is around selling price............
No deals yet.
Thanks for all the posts. I will share all my info as my coins come in and wish everyone the best!

What order and ship date are the 2008 ASE's with the '07 reverse coming from? I've heard most of the errors were found from orders placed on March 17 and then shipped around April 8, but others were found from more recent orders.
I think alot of the dealers are having a price war on them. These things are fairly new....I guess the flippers are trying to figure out at what price they should list them for. Another thing....It was funny to see these coins on HSN today. They were quicker than I thought.
They probably bought out Gainesville and MCM! I saw them on the show with the guy that sounds like he is from Appalachia two days ago. You know, the one with the banjo music in the background. He talks like he has a big ol cheek full of chaw.

<< <i>Looks like they are losing steam on ebay already. >>
Losing steam?? The NGC MS69 are $200 and the MS70s are closing at $400+.
I think you'll see $100 gains for both over next 1-3 weeks.
If final numbers are in 10-30,000 range the comparisons to 1995-W will be quick to follow.
Curious minds... THANKS IN ADVANCE!

once those tail off, and no more are found, the sky's the limit
The prices seem to be holding @ $175-$200, for a graded 69.
I hope it's not one of those, "damn it, why didn't I back up the truck"!
<< <i>Not only are the prices strong, the Mint ensured that a shatload of these will be swallowed up, by speculation. >>
Did the Mint ensure it or did collectors ensure it?
If the Mint was so eager to get errors into the hands of collectors, what happened to the quarter planchet Madisons?
I thought about it, good point, but we will never really know the reason for the error, will we?
Maybe sales are slow @ 25.95 for the 08W, with silver losing some ground.
Shake things up a bit, fabricate a variety, presto, increase in sales.
The silver lining is that I only paid for 20.
