I seem to be getting shorted on the shortprints and making up for it on the chromes, but 3-4 of these are dupe chromes.

Perhaps more cases are being opened this year as compared to last, but the black refractors are flying out of boxes this
year. Nice job!

After 9 and a half boxes I'm only 14 SP's away from a master set and only 7 inserts away with plenty of doubles. Good news for the
collector who can't buy cases of this stuff. My chrome stack is getting ready for a trade or two. What is the news on early black
chrome sales..list them early or wait and see?

Someone give us an ebay report, I have to go to work soon. I should have more info on the panel order/quantity tonight.

Are the buybacks in their own pack by themselves? How do you know the pack has a buyback?

Still waiting on mine to be shipped from LR.

Nick, Yes I think I've decided to do chromes......5 boxes in there are quite a few dupes for trade.

I'm going to check eBay either later tonight or tomorrow.......thinking of putting my black refractor up now.
On to box 6.

Tim (NewHeritageCollector) the buybacks are in their own pack, doesn't look anything like a regular Heritage pack. Both those and the panels (which are packaged the same) will be on top of the box.

My 6th box:

So this box has 1/2 again as many sp's as the last 2 plus 2 relics but less chrome & refractors. I guess it all evens up.

ok, the boy and I just tore thru an entire case

2 autos of old guys

roughly 50 chromes? some were xxx/559 and 1 black refractor

several buybacks

stack of then and nows

stack of game used

stack of new age performers

3 Johan Santana cards with 1 being in the Mets funnyform

Now, really dumb question.....WTH are all of the black backs? how many are there?

There are 110 of those I think by Geordie's count. They're on the bottom of the pack and sometimes a couple there, sometimes none.

There are a crapload , about 1/8 of my cards from 6 boxes are blackbacks.

Depends on the black chrome Kevin I would guess?

Remember a few years back when the Pettite card was the first of him not in a Yankee uni and someone paid 20 bucks for it on ebay? It was early on.

I've seen some really cool stuff.

I like the Mantle relic that Nick pulled!

Good luck guys - I'm slow in collating - so I won't know what I need.

The quality seems better this year than last - my criticism? Not in love with some of the photos - could be alot more crisp.

So far I love what I seeing from the set (BBs, RCs, team cards, etc). There are some amusingly ugly cards (Glavine ?), but overall it's solid.

About halfway through my second box I realized that one pack had only 7 cards (and no relic or anything else). Almost every other pack from then on also had 7 cards. ?? Anybody else seeing this?

Yes, that was me with 2 out of 4 boxes from lrcards case having 7 cards per pack in every pack in the box. Ted, check my link for an excel sheet with all the checklists and sp's on separate sheets for all years heritage 2001-2007.

Looking over the 1959 Topps master set I noticed the following card numbers have variations:

#40 - Spahn - 3 different versions of his year of birth
#316 - RALPH LUMENTI - with and without option statement
#321 - BOB GIALLOMBARDO - with and without option statement
#322 - HARRY HANEBRINK - with and without trade statement
#336 - BILLY LOESWITH - with and without trade statement
#362 - DOLAN NICHOLS - with and without option statement

These might be numbers that should be looked at in this years set. I would, but my case doesn't come until Monday

just pulled a Minoso redemption auto Flashback Relic halfway through box 3 - sweetness

that made up for the super thick pack I had a few minutes ago that was only thick because there was 2 pieces of gum in it
