<< <i> I'm surprised you didn't post the whole postal record where in a last-ditch effort to avoid a refund you refused to take the package >>

Hmm, I looked it up at USPS Track and Confirm... The refusal was a 2 days after your declared victory acknowledging the refund had been received. Since the refund was already given how could the refusal a full 2 days later be construed to avoid something that had already occured?
    Edited to add
From USPS Track and confirm ... REFUSED, August 24, 2004, 1:03 pm, BELPRE, OH 45714

    Header from declared victory .....

No problem. Funds recovered today. >>

My mistake it was hours instead of days that the refund had already been completed before the refusal occurred.

I freely admit that I refused your trash! You are a thief and a liar! I will not accept your garbage! That is why I posted the tracking number that shows I refused your trash. I have filed the appeal through paypal because I am required to do so before I can file the suit through the courts here!

Date of Complaint: Aug. 4, 2004
    Status: Reviewing Seller's Appeal
Status Details: Thank you for authorizing a refund to the buyer. Please allow between 5 and 7 days for this request to be processed.

No further action is required of you at this time and you will receive an email notifying you when this case has been resolved. To check the status of this case, you can return to this page anytime.

I promise you are far from done with all this!

Legal case over $170 (or whatever) coin? The judge should laugh you out of the courts and fine you for wasting the court's time with this garbage. Get some lawyers involved, too. The first hour of advice will cost you more than the $170. All of this so you don't lose face here? Please keep us posted, Poe. You cannot buy entertainment this good!

You are assuming people who read this thread won't read the linked thread. One only need to read that thread and see where I stated he was wrong. Perhaps you skipped by the post that said I don't see anywhere in your particular auction where they said this collection was spot free. or maybe it's that you only look for the pictures in the threads you click on. Or, possibly you just wish to troll as you did in that thread?

    Hello Russell
I see your point! I have a 301 positive feedback rating out of a total of 302 unique bidder transactions. I have a total of 362 of which both parties were happy with the out come. I feel that it should be 300 even because Matthew was smart enough to post a positive to help elicit the sympathy of his fellow forum members. Therefore it was only a matter of time before one of eBay’s bottom feeders pulled a scam and got away with it. Well Matthew has tried; we will see if he succeeds in the end!
    Thanks again

I don't think that means much. My rating is 96 with a total of 102 positive feedbacks (no neutrals or negs), and honestly, though I don't claim to be the perfect seller, I think I more than deliver. If you don't sell the same type of item all the time, and sell slowly over a long period of time, you're less likely to draw repeat business.

God help me, I'm not defending Poe -- but I do want to point out that having few repeat buyers doesn't necessarily mean much. If you specialize in a particular area, maybe...but otherwise it means nothing.

    Ziggy,

In the last 30 days alone, his listing number exceeds your total feedbacks. For a seller who does volume, the lack of repeat customers is certainly meaningful.

There are plenty of problem sellers on ebay with essentially 99% feedback. So what does 300 out of 301 mean? It could mean that all of Poe's buyers feel it's not worth the trouble to neg him. I only looked at a few auctions and realized most of what Poe sells as silver type is cleaned and overgraded. So I wouldn't even bid on his sales. But newbies don't know much and will actually give guys like Poe positive feedback for getting screwed...go figure. Someone want to check Ernie's feedback, I'm sure it's pretty high too but I don't see anyone awarding him a "medal" for his coins.

Actually Poe, one miss out of 300 drops your feedback rating to 99.7%. And for what's it worth, I consider anyone under 99.5% to be suspect. One more hit and you're outta here. Anyone under 98.5% on ebay is probably a crook or just too honest....usually the former. Usually I don't bid on feedbacks under 99.5%...not worth the hassle.

    Hello Again Russ
I feel that you do deserve an explanation. I spend so much time here posting etc.. Simply because I find it fascinating that one or two people think so highly of themselves or should I say so highly of their affect. The simple truth of the matter is that this forum has had no negative effect on my sales. I will help you out here! Throw you a bone as it were; I am going on Vacation Tuesday so I currently have no auctions posted! Perhaps you might entertain the idea that this forum has in some small way contributed to this. I do entertain the Idea that I might get this tread to make a thousand! If so I would of course, have to thank you all again!

    Poe,

For someone who talks about how people here don't matter, nor does this thread matter to you, you seem to want to keep it alive and keep trying to protest about your "innocence".

Face it, no one believes you except your lackey.

You had/have a coin I was going to bid on (came up in my search a couple of weeks ago) but when I started reading your terms and realized they were familiar for some reason, then saw your name on ebay, well, you lost me as a potential customer....definitely lost me as someone to bid on your items at your BIN or even lower that may cause higher bids to come.

There are millions of people out there on ebay...you and other screwed up sellers like you will always be able to find people willing to bid that don't know better. Thing you haven't realized is that you ARE losing sales (higher sales at a minimum).

What I don't understand is how simpleminded you must be to keep coming back to this forum when it has all been played out and you have found to have been dishonest in your dealings, as well as rude. Catfish even admitted he came to the forum after you contacted him about the thread so he could come here and defend you. I guess it is because others are not masonic lackeys for you and you needed someone to push around or who feels they owe you?
Whatever it is, you are rude, argumentative, and lacking in judgement. You don't even have the helpful knowledge and experience to make up for any of it. In numismatics, you are pretty worthless.

Where do you get your supplies? Little old ladies who don't know what they have and you rip them????
Wouldn't put it past someone who posts and acts like you do.

Now, if you REALLY don't care about people on this forum nor this thread, then you won't deign to post. But, I am willing to bet that you really do care and you just LIED about that to try to puff yourself up as being better than everyone else. Wanna bet?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    I agree with Ron.

Hey, I saw another thread here today about another person ripping off a member here. I was later looking through ebay and saw what I believe to be a 66 SMS set with a no 'FG' half, then noticed who the seller was, and passed! What goes around comes around! And, your's will sometime come around!

That statement is incorrect. Someone named Mark forwarded an email to me because I was a bidder on one of his auctions. Mark didn't do his homework to notice I was one of the 70+ repeat bids Poe has received. Actually, I was here hours before Poe and sent Poe a Yahoo Message to come here. You took the words from me. Catfish, you and Poe can keep your little deals flowing. I won't get in the way.
I try to make sure to only buy from people that deliver what they promise. And from those that treat people politely. Something that Poe obviously won't/can't do.
I still wonder where he gets his inventory and how many little old ladies/widows/estates he rips off (I am guessing because after seeing how he acts, I haven't even bothered looking into his auctions (except the one that can up in my search for something else)?
