    Ohhh I completely understand about the waiting game lol but 5 1/2 years is definitely a long wait. I need to start brushing off the cob webs and get my feet wet with some simple stuff first. I did however milled some amazing burly/ birdseye/curly maple and finally put it in the shop. Cut down and milled here on the property and it’s definitely very pretty, I think I’ll use that wood for the first box in the reborn shop. Thanks guys for the comments and the follow through with this journey.

    That's beautiful!

    I took a class to make a pen once at a woodworking store. I really enjoyed the process. I really wish I had the space and tools to do it as a hobby. I just bought a few since I can't make them!!

    The Koa pen. I’m glad it works great for you, now if you could sign a check for me on the whole shop costs that would be great lol I’m kidding.
    I need to travel to Hawaii just to pick up more Koa, love working with that wood.

    Mike, you once considered attending The National as a vendor. Is that something that you would still like to do one day? I have never attended, but I hope to attend sometime in the future.

    Apologies for the late response. Absolutely, about vending at the National I think that would be a dream come true. I have been able to do some vending around my neck of the woods and have a blast doing it.

    I think this is one of your boxes that this collector kept his collection in that Is featured in the Miller and Miller auction is that your work?

    Well to try out something different, I made a couple deck boxes. Each deck box holds little over 60 top loaders cards with visible view when flipping the cards. Made it with quilted cherry wood and burly maple for the top, the splines and the risers using black Wenge wood.
