Superb and lustrous 70-D in MS67..
Drop the ding at the top, or the 'impurity'? on his neck above "WE", and there's your + grade?..
I'll probably let both of these NGC's go to help me out with the 67+ coin. The 67 didn't cross over to our hosts, and is still a bit spotty, even after an NCS Conservation & re-grade attempt for the +...

This is the Kennedy I planned to trade-in if I was able to get that toned 67+ that I wanted for my top 100 set. I did try to bid again but was too late. Maybe one of our 67's will end up in Wayne's set.
@Rc5280 & @Goldminers
Thanks guys for thinking of me.😉
I would love to give one of those 67s a new permanent home.

“That's a gorgeous dime! I love subtle, colorful toning on circulated coins like that! It really pops and looks great!” thanks @dsessom
Not that easy to find as such, but it goes to show a coin doesn’t have to cost thousands of dollars to be beautiful and highly desirable. Of course, I do wish it was an 1822!!! 😉

I have an 1884-S Morgan that is toned in similar fashion, although not nearly as dramatically as your 1827 dime!

25 from Anthony Fanger collection plus a few others.
Was definitely a nice evening to receive these. Very proud to add to my in process set.
Beautiful morgans, those are some great additions.

After spending the better part of 2 years contemplating this new series, I have officially begun setting my sights on bust halves. I’ve really admired the many beautiful examples that have been shared on these forums and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that some of you have steered me in this direction.
I chose the 27 as my first addition because I had an 1827 many years ago that I loved. It was a raw XF condition with a nice circ. cameo appearance.
I also feel that I got a great deal on this one. This is the first of many to come. I may have to tap into the bust half experts for some guidance along the way.
Just received in the mail this week. A coin I have been searching for some time now.
Members I have done business with: Silverman68, jfoot13, GAB, ricman, Smittys, scrapman1077, RyGuy, Connecticoin, Meltdown, VikingDude, Peaceman, Patches and more.
Looks AU58 Details. (I see scratches in the fields under the toning. Possible rim repair issues too. Hard to tell.)
I have traced 100 of this variety (all die states). The overall median grade is VF30. Highest graded is MS63, among 7 certified mint state examples. Not problem free, but an exceptionally presenting specimen for the variety and certainly the extensively clashed die state nonetheless.
Very rare Gen 1.1 slab used for about a week in 1986. It’s the second one; the Gen 1.0 was used only a couple days before that. The condition of the slab is essentially pristine, thanks to the good care afforded by its previous owner (@oreville).
My pics are unedited save for cropping. I’ll work on better ones which I’ll post in our Saturday Morning Coffee with Coins thread.
IMO, the coin is nice for the 63 grade assigned. I’ll be taking it to FUN to see if it might even be better. Regardless, it’s going to remain in the 1.1 holder.
I remember walking to the PCGS submission table at the FUN show in 2015 and saw a young coin collector submitting a PCGS Regency holder for a possible upgrade. All I could yell was Noooooooooooooooo!
Too late!
I second that! If your wife encourages your hobby, THAT in itself is deserving of a toast! I am not married, but my beautiful partner of 13 years, Linda, encourages me in my collecting endeavors as well! So, I count myself in the group of the lucky few in our hobby that have a very supportive partner! Congratulations on the coins AND your wife!

I recently learned that there is only ONE single PROOF coin that was ever minted with the Philadelphia "P" mintmark, so of course I had to find and obtain one. Here it is. I think I got this story straight, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I love the coin either way though!

Pretty rare to have a US coin older than some of the Talers I collect. This one just arrived:
Sigismund Franz, Thaler 1665, Hall
Thanks Bob. The 1652 is a little bit of a misnomer as the coins were apparently minted in 1670 and backdated to supposedly prevent illegal activity! Geez, even crooks back then. 😉 Here’s a clip I found on them from rare collectibles tv.
