got my silver maples in the cart, waiting for an indication of which way spot will be heading.
Bought a few. Turned some paper SLV profits into free Canadian gutter metal. RGDS!
Interesting that most recent SML order from Costco originated in OK city. They must be using APMEX for fulfillment. The last batch came out on NYC (Bullion Exchanges). Sure hope they are packed better this go round. RGDS!

I wonder how often my local warehouse updates the pricing for their in stock inventory. I might swing by today and ask a manager there.
no, never ask questions. this could alert them to check spot more often

Always good deals and always someone posting that they wanted to "ask the manager"...and when they did, inevitably, the good deals were gone and much harder to come by....
I did swing by the store over the weekend and saw that they had adjusted the in store price of the gold Buffalo to $2359. I didn't talk to a manager as i had limited time, but I'm guessing they adjust the price daily at best.
Thanks to FW, 23 years ago, I got a high end, HP Color LaserJet printer for $12 at Staples. Manager was flummoxed by all the coupons and stuff, but I just left it at that. No giving information to the enemy!
(bought total of 3 of them...2 for myself, 1 for my brother. $12 ea couldn't be beat)
P.S. Bullion exchanges offer both eagles and buffalos in these holders. I have received some shipments from Seattle and others directly from the address in NY affiliated with Bullion Exchanges. So I would assume they are producing these holders. THKS!

Do we know that bullion exchanges didn't buy these from Costco customers?

I suppose anything is possible but BE started selling in the same holders pretty much the same time that Costco started offering them.
Guess there could have been a bunch of flippers at the beginning that bought to get the executive rewards/cc rewards. At the beginning when the Au was still sub $2000 net was well under spot with the rewards. RGDS!
P.S. As I mentioned before some of my Costco direct orders were shipped from the BE address so at some point they were fulfilling orders for them. RGDS!
Does Costco sell the bullion coins etc at the store or just mail order only. Does the price change throughout the day or not to keep up with the current market?
Lastly what is the reason why Delivery is not available to Nevada or Louisiana for ASe Eagle and assume the gold as well?
sometimes available in the store. Price changes periodically to keep up with spot but not daily. I'd check sales tax laws in those states, may be some complication. Costco does however honor my "no sales tax" in FL. Also, Costco does not enforce it's limit on total purchases, only on the amount in one order. Costco also gives a 2% discount if you pay with a Costco Citi card and another 2% if you have an executive club membership.
They sell the gold and silver maples for less than they sell the gold and silver eagles or the gold buffalos. Gold and silver maples are their best bargain.
Natural forces of supply and demand are the best regulators on earth.
After a 2% executive membership rebate and a 2% costco citi card discount tha'st $2.27 per coin. That's less that the Authorized Purchasers pay wholesale to the mint per box.

Holy Moley, was thinking about adding a few but they sure got greedy on the price. Even with the 4% back still not anywhere close to a deal. Bummer. THKS!

I don't collect them, so I don't know....but, I get the may "not be close to a deal" bit, but what do others sell them for?
Costco really isn't "greedy" on things, from my experience. They have a set, usually 12%, margin over cost that they sell the majority of things for.
What do others sell these for? Less than Costco, since you say "they got greedy"?
Or, is it just sour grapes that it isn't as low as you wanted?

No sour Grapes, I could care less other than the fact the Pt/gutter ratio is at historic lows. I decided to go the paper Pt route with the PPLT (thank you to another forum member from the Great Commonwealth that will remain anonymous). Multiple dealers offering for $40-60ozt less. Selling the physical Pt is where it gets tricky. It's not a liquid metal so as a seller be prepared to take it in the shorts. RGDS!

Random (non-proof, non-graded) Platinum Eagles have been selling recently on eBay for more than $1,200 per troy oz (close to $200 per oz over spot for the cheapest ones).

Yeah, add in 13.25% fees and packaging shipping costs and a seller is seeing nowhere near $1200 an ozt on feeBay. THKS!
Gold eagles on Costco currently end up about $60 under spot if you factor in executive points and CC rewards. Hard to pay $2650 though, even for The Metal of Kings. THKS!

LCS today, several Costco AGEs in dealer cases. $2450-ish.
Costco has added 3 new PAMP items including Platinum.
Nothing special, just thought I'd give a heads up!
Q: Does anyone know who makes these holders?
Strange. RGDS!

Although they apparently are constantly restocking, COSTCO can't seem to keep bullion in stock. The canary is singing.

New PAMP/Newmont Lady of Liberty for sale. Nice looking but still don't care for bars.
yep, resell on bars is tougher than on coins.

Then don't patronize ebay, because that's true for everything else as well.
I knew it would happen.
With an eBay store bullion sales are 7.35% below $1,500 and only 5% up to $10,000. Just do not list them as coins as basically they are bullion
