Alright, I'll bite.
I've been looking for a 1820 CBH in XF45 for quite sometime.
This date/grade was harder to find than I thought, took me 2+ years.
Plus, it's got a green bean. Coinfacts says it's a rarity 5.0 - 1,000 survivors in all grades.Thanks for looking.

The early Walker hunt continues with this purchase:
Walker aficionados know the 1919-D is notorious for a poor strike. I liked this one & the pricing was pretty good, not great. It checks all the boxes: head lots of detail (although not quite full), branch hand thumb & even a partial stem split, OK skirt lines, satisfactory trailing leg on the eagle & good feather breast detail, mint mark clear. Highly lustrous too. Nice eye appeal.
It’s a fairly graded, problem free example that should sticker.
TV shows too much yellow, which seems to be a recurring theme in another thread.
The tally now is 17/20, with “only” the 20-D, 20-S & 21-S remaining. The 20-D has been very tough. There’s a 20-S in the HA auction today, but I don’t care for it. The 21-S? Definitely will be the last one (as it should be for the hardest one).

Picked up this shrouded Julius Caesar dictator in perpetuity today from HA to go with my wreathed, minted around Feb 14, 44BC, just prior to the Ides of March and considered a significant causal factor in his murder

Raining Walkers
Early ones, that is. I picked up another nice one I need: a 1920-S PCGS MS64+. Tally is now 18/20; still need the 20-D (one of Harlan Berk’s guys told me that’s very tough) + the vaunted 21-S. That one will have to wait while I reload.
This one’s a sweetheart & checks all the boxes. In addition it’s just about all white & green CAC’d.

For many reasons.
1. Love that appearance of that 1944!

My first ever draped bust coin!
This is really the first draped bust coin I’ve ever examined in hand and I have to say I LOVE the design.
It is graded VF20 by NGC.
The auction house had it listed as a 1806/5 but comparing to all the photos PCGS has available the 6 on my coin is different. The 6 on my coin is more pointed than all the confirmed examples I’ve looked at online.Regardless if it is or isn’t, I’m still very happy to own it.

One of several recent ones. Yes, it is holed and low grade. But it is extraordinarily rare. 1798 BB-102 (B-20), already a nice find. Try to find one without the little football break above the 79 of the date and reverse cud at 6:00 that appears like a rim bruise. This is the only one I have found or even seen in this early state. No football break and no cud. The weak crack from the 7 is present, where the little break later forms. Not even a hint of the cud. The crack through the I of AMERICA has begun, something many have thought occurred after the cud. It actually can be seen on later strikes of knob 9 BB-95, the prior use of the reverse die. The obverse was shared with BB-103 (prohibitively rare in all grades and always in low grade) and BB-107 (scarce). The state of this obverse clearly suggests this was the first use of that die.

A new Double Eagle

Showed this in another thread, but for those who haven’t seen it, I’ll post it here. This is actually in a 1st gen. hard plastic enclosed and sealed ANA holder. Unusual to still house a Double Eagle.

The 1991’s are both the LG and SM dates. Currently they are the only 2 ever graded by ANACS.
The 1997 is tied for top pop at 2/0.
