Without question, the 1920-D Walker is not only a tough date, but nearly impossible to find nice. No one @ the recent Tampa show had one of consequence (at least in the range I was looking for). Plus, all my recent offers for ones that came up were rejected. I think those sellers were holding out for “moon money” as they realize how hard it is to find one @ this level.
I received the coin yesterday & am very pleased by it in hand. It meets the criteria I’m looking for on several levels: luster, eye appeal, center obv detail (nice thumb & beginnings of the stem split), trailing leg has better than usual detail not evident in the TV. The head, while incomplete, also shows better than the TV. MM is clear. The skirt lines are a bit below average, imo. A bonus was the rev breast feathers, they show lacking in the tv, but are not so in hand.
Finally, the seller & I reached a deal that was good for both of us, so win/win!
Finally finally, this makes 19/20 for completion of the early Walker quest. The brutal 1921-S remains. Strangely enough, that one seems to be more available than the 20-D. It’s just that it takes the most ammo & I’m a bit short in that department right now.
In my opinion, no. The hits to the right of the eagle and reed marks right of the shield max it out at 64 for me, maybe a plus if the luster is really good.

I think it is worth it.
Those hits described above are what keeps this from MS67 or MS66.
GEM doesn't equate to flawless.
Some years ago, I bought a 1914-D Lincoln cent, graded VF35 in an ANACS holder. I have never liked the coin, but I have never wanted to spend as much as it costs to get a better one.
Until now. This one is only graded XF40 by PCGS (with CAC approval), but it looks nicer to me. Which is all that counts.
@braddick Your double struck Morgan dollar looks like a Chinese counterfeit. I guess they're now making mint error coins.

I just bought a crusty old 1833 dime for my US Type set. This one was a bit lower grade than I usually go for but I liked the look and the price was decent.

Came home from dinner last night & found an offer to buy this beauty in my inbox. I jumped on it - a nice rainbow/pastel toner with good luster & a ubiquitous bean. Thanks & a shoutout to the former Deplorable Dan, now Peak Rarities. Ironic fit, too - I buy a lot of toner IHC’s so this was an Indian of a different sort!

If this is an 1883 O where is the mint mark? LOL

Not only that., but you might be able to track down the original submitter with those prints.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
