This one showed up at the doorstep this week (1827-134 in CACG58). Fits right in with the rest of the Ladies. First GreatPhoto for me. Pretty accurate compared to in hand look.

Happy Saturday morning all! It's going to be a beautiful Spring day with lots of coins and sunshine. A no-motto seated dollar to kick it off.

Goodmorning, folks.
Starting the day off right- with a cup of fine coffee and some exonumia.
This one was used by our servicemen in Vietnam in one of the clubs during their downtime. I love the design, and it is quite colorful in hand.
According to Ray Bows, who wrote a great book on the subject of Vietnam War tokens, this club opened in Feb 1962 at Tan Son Nhut Air base and was closed by 1964. So, very early in the conflict. It was named after the Shawnee helicopters of the 8th and 57th Transportation Companies.
Have a great weekend!

One of the elongated cents from the hoard stands out.
I enjoy World Exposition and World’s Fair memorabilia. I have the admission ticket, a felt pennant, and the 1909 P cent that I got in my change from the ‘64 NY Fair.
Great start to the morning! Those first three today are all inspiring!
My week was very long, but now that the rain let up for a few days maybe it's time to tend to the weeds ... err ... yard!
Central California is funny that way. If it isn't coming down in buckets these last couple winters, it's shining sun, and man can it all grow with the combination. Grateful for the water though, overall.

An impulse purchase (the wrap), and an aviation themed token that I bought to trade to a guy who won’t sell me some silver.. He’s weak for anything space and aero. I’m building a hoard to convince him—some hot wheel airplanes, airline sporks, old photos. We disagree on melt value.
I: You can’t melt it legally.
Sala: I’ll take it home to Jordan and melt it there.
I: How many pounds would it take to pay expenses?
Sala: I go home two times a year, so nothing.
I: Do you know someone who has a furnace?
Sala: We know how to melt metals….

These were ordered at the direction of Alfred S. Robinson, banker and numismatist, in very small quantities. This one is copper and is just lovely. Ex. @Floridafacelifter if I'm not mistaken!
Rainy day. Great for coffee and coins. Have a good one

Enjoying my 1895-S dollar that I thought wouldn't grade because of hairlines and minute toned scratches near the date. PCGS didn't see any significant problems and graded it XF45.
How bout a pic from the FUN show with all these coffee colored large cents? Wouldn't it be fun to have a chest full of these to look at every now and then?

Always thought Todd was an old guy. I guess it's true with 1917 being his birth year
