Hahaha! Careful Mark, they are addicting little buggers! Nice '36 O-110 ... looks like it might have a really nice skin and some lovely reverse color.

Insanely nice coins, and notes from all my buddies, what a great way to start the day!
@Inspired70 always brings the amazing, top tier Seated Dollar rarities, and @pursuitofliberty your Wood Chopper seriously caught my eye....What a Note! The rest are all stunning guys!
Great additions to the thread, all. I can't remember if I posted this here yet or not, but here is a favorite of mine and a joy to behold with a cup of coffee. Guttag Bros Rare Coins Storecard, 30mm GOLD ex. Virgil Brand
I've always loved this design. They're pretty common in bronze, but basically unobtainable in gold. I believe it to be unique, so when it came up for sale I decided to go all in. Happy I did.
Have a great Saturday, everyone and stay caffeinated!
*Edited to add that the Guttag Brothers were big time coin dealers in New York City pre-Great Depression, and though undated this was probably struck in the late 1920s.

Enjoying a newp that arrived this week! Slippery slope - I think I could get addicted to these proof Walkers…
Nice one! At 7 coins, it's a fairly easy set to assemble, although the '36 can be a challenge. I chose to do mine PCGS+CAC, with original haze/toning (no blast white coins), which upped the difficulty level a bit.
That's nice. The Machin's Mills I found at Washington College is in poor condition and off-center such that some of the lettering is cut off. It looks cruder than your coin and much more corroded from being in the ground.
@Conshyboy Your 1912 gold $2.5 appears to be a MS61 or 2 grade but that scratch on the reverse would probably result in a details grade. Check the APMEX website. They list pre-1933 US gold coins both raw and slabbed in various grades and by type to get an idea of retail value.

A few green areas maybe an acetone bath would take care of those few spots. I say maybe since I have never used acetone on gold coins. Members here should be able to give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down.
Well, it was Saturday morning and I had my coffee before I left to hit the banks. Went into one bank and ask the little Hispanic female teller if she had any dollar coins? She said she had 13 dollars. I said great, could I have them please.
She went in the back and came out with this! You can imagine my shock! 😳 😱 I thought she said 13 dollars. She said 1300 dollars!
I had to buckle the seat belt to stop the seat alarm!!

@OAKSTAR WOW - What a score. I just finished a box of JFKs. Found some NIFCs and of course the usual rolls of 2021D JKKs. You have a nice weekend and hope you find a couple of nice coins too.

Did somebody say "indoor soccer"? God, I miss that. Grandkids are a year or two away. My playing days are over.
I do have tickets to FC Cincinnati opening day next weekend!
Oh, coffee gone.....coins in vault......
Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

Waited a lot of years to find a CAC 1872-S for my seated dollar collection.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.
JayPem, you should really be more careful with your coins. Handling them like that could result in micro hairlines reducing the value of your coins.

The "real deal" or a Machin's Mills? It looks too perfect to be a Machin's Mills.
That's nice. The Machin's Mills I found at Washington College is in poor condition and off-center such that some of the lettering is cut off. It looks cruder than your coin and much more corroded from being in the ground.
Happy Saturday morning all! It's going to be a beautiful Spring day with lots of coins and sunshine. A no-motto seated dollar to kick it off.
I'm sipping blueberry flavored coffee this morning while playing my NYT games. Flavor is something different!
Here's a gold quarter eagle for your pleasure:

Cold outside, but the coffee is piping hot, and the quiet is relaxing.

I can see why these are so popular.

Nice, clean example of a fairly common quarter eagle. I'd snag that in a second if it was sitting in my LCS case.
