I just struck silver at the Coinstar at lunchtime today. Also not sure what’s going on on the side of the rim on the 2 cent euro coin.

To my knowledge all 2 cent euro coins have a circumferential groove on the edge.

It's hit or miss around here. In the last month, I found a silver Roosevelt dime and about $3.00 in miscellaneous change, on three different occasions.

I have checked maybe 15-20 times over the past few years and have never seen a single coin in the reject slot.

Today found about $1.00 worth of modern US coins and three Sweden 1 Krona coins of different designs and dates 1979, 2008, and 2016.

I had an unusual Coinstar experience this morning.
I went to the local supermarket and as I was walking to the Coinstar machine a man walked by it and stuck his fingers in the reject tray.
    He didn't find anything.

    :)

It added up to about $19.00. I’ll be spending it on my way through Canada next week.

I have to say, I get a real charge out if this thread and of course finding free coins. Although I haven't found anything in weeks, the hunt goes on

My first CoinStar find. Both Denver mint. Not sure why the machine would reject these. Nothing special.

Weight appears to be correct. Maybe just a machine quirk.

@Tramp.... Yes, it may be... Those machines do often reject good coins, much to our satisfaction. ;) Cheers, RickO

If folks have a lot of coins, they feed them in too quickly (dump and run...) the machine can't handle it,

So I hit my typical 3 stores this AM, Safeway nothing, Nob Hill nothing, the Mexican store had the below coins, no silver but interesting, one verity of each common coins.

I hit my local Coinstar today for the first time. 73 cents and a 2008 2-cent Euro coin minted in Germany (F mint mark). All the U.
    S. coins were non-silver and modern, so no idea why they were rejected.

$2.20 in clad quarters, dimes with a few nickels and cents. No silver. Maybe my luck has changed. Might convert the haul to one mega millions ticket and win the $1.25 Billion up for grabs in the next drawing.

Not a coinstar but found half in and half out the front door of 7-11. I was thinking about how long it had been since I found change on the ground outside 7-11 and wham. Here we go. Watched several folks walk on by and noticing it they didn’t even pick up the quarters. Amazing 🤔

Found 32 cents in modern stuff at Walmart today. Clad quarter, Jeff nickel, and two Memorials. My wife wasn't impressed, but it broke my drought. :)

Finally got around to converting $2 of the $2.20 I found in a coin star into a mega million ticket. Using lucky money might turn into a lucky pick six and $1.55 billion. Someone has to win, sometime.

I struck it rich yesterday. I found these in the coin return slot of a Colnstar macine at a Walmart. I may have to retire but hopefully my taxes won't be audited.

I'm assuming it's a typo, but a 1966 half is 40% silver not 80% Congrats on the haul.

@Joe_360- If you haven't already, double check that 34 for a DDO.
