Greetings formites.
It’s looking absolutely beautiful up here in the Colorado mountains. The 4th of July weekend.
Having some coffee and nothing new as far as purchases. Just wondering about the Morgan’s and Peace dollars One of each, none of each or two of each. What to do?
I’m sure it will come to me. Believe I can safely adjust my enrollments until the 9th.
So I’m not going to worry about it. If nothing else I’ve got the cats and their ouiji board. Excellent source of answers 😁
Looking through the images while sipping coffee ... and stopped to admire this girl again
Not my highest graded, flashiest, rarest or even one of the one's with the most character (clashes, chips, cracks) ... just a nice ChAU, easy on the eyes

The fields are really beautiful. A lovely, almost soothing look to them
Thanks 🙏

Good morning my friends. Sipping the coffee and reading the threads,
So good to see a budding new Numismatist @DCW She does seem excited with the glass in hand!
Yesterday was a banner haul at the post office for three new CBH's, and the fact I had the afternoon off allowed me to get some images done late yesterday.
Maybe it's a "C" thing (like Coffee!), or maybe because I'm a little Crazy ... but I really love Cracks, Clashes, Chips and Cuds.
The prize in those packages ... this 1832 O-101a
I've been wanting this Die Marriage and Die State since I started getting serious with Bust Halves a few years ago ... just never could find one I really liked. Grateful this one found it's way to me.
Mornin' my friends! One of my recent pickups is this holed half that I'll be wearing to the shows from now on. I had to solder a ring through the hole and a gold necklace through the loop.

Have coffee ... check
Eyes open ... check
Brain starting to engage ... check
Reading and viewing my favorite Saturday morning thread ... ahh yes, starting to come around now!
Good morning!!!
.
Talking to a dealer/friend this week about other things and part of that reminded me of a coin I bought from him as I was getting ready to leave last years ANA Summer WFOM Show in Chicago. I had mostly stopped by to say Hi and Goodbye and he had just put out a few new coins.
I had to stop and look ... and lo and behold, he took the last of my money at last years show, and I got another nice coin to take home.
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”
The nearest coins were some 1890's South African ZAR coins in my wallet and a dateless Fugio Cent in 2 x 2 holders.
My wife and I are with young white lions, who were raised from cubs. We are in Zimbabwe, near Victoria Falls. White lions are almost extinct. These can be raised by humans for 2 1/2 years until they are released into a controlled game park to make sure that they can hunt. At 2 1/2 they are too aggressive to be with humans all day.
ONE RULE NOT TO BREAK: We were warned to always stand behind them and not in front, the hunting instincts can come out at 1 1/2 years of age, like with these lions. They are about 180 pounds.
I was Initially very nervous and then almost comfortable. The trainers just have sticks and really know what they are doing. It is ok to hold a socialized lion by the tail gently (with my trainer friends around)
Greetings formites
Cup of coffee and after finding my father in law’s penny folder earlier this week I decided to upgrade and move it out the ole Whitman blue and into a proper album.
My first intercept product and very impressive. $23 with the outer protective cover sleeve. Dimes and pennies. Proper collecting for my budget. Thanks 🙏
Only viewing coins via photos, but returning to the States today to get back into it. Have a great Saturday morning, everyone.
Edited to add this awesome photo from the Caribbean:

2014 Subaru Crosstrek, used to be my daily driver (174,000mi). Was fine, but after sitting for a couple months, it seems to have developed some serious Variable Valve Timing issues when my daughter came to take it and started driving it again.
Not really a swap ... a direct replacement. And not really fun either, just a labor of love.
Since these generally have to be rebuilt at 225k, and VVT is expensive to rebuild and do right, I decided to go a different route. I found a 90,000mi swap, and am using the "best of" for the redo. Engine finally came out last weekend, new engine prepped Wednesday morning (I stayed home to tinker) and in the engine bay now, partially bolted up (engine to transmission) ... a couple more bolts to go there and then I can start putting all the stuff back on (Alternator, AC, Fuel Lines, etc, etc).
And it's a small car, so not a lot of room!!
Anyway, hope to get it done (or really close) this weekend, but it's going to be over 100 again today and tomorrow, so early starts and early stops.
Back to coins ... the car is the Subaru Orange ... not quite like this color "orange"

What kind of Engine are you swapping and into what?
Good Luck with the swap!
