My Saturday started with coffee today and thinking about a couple of proof Washington quarters that await my return from my vacation with wife in Utah. We are visiting/hiking a park a day. Today was Bryce Canyon:

Welcome to my beautiful state, hope you enjoys the the views.........
It has the most incredible vistas, never boring, and has given us breathtaking views. Can’t recommend highly enough although the Angel’s Landing (Zion) hike nearly killed me. Brutal climb.

Happy Saturday Gents! I've got a special one to share with this group today. It's a coin I have dreamt about for decades, ever since I saw it in my 1972 RS Yeoman Redbook.
I like this one, Belize
1998 100 Dollars Gold Proof
Very Rare
This commemorates the Battle of Ambergris Caye where the British checked down the Spanish and marked the passage of peak Spanish power in the New World:
Black and white gold??
Love that Milled British (1830-1960) Well, just Love coins, period.

Not a coin ... as is my theme today ... this came a little bit ago when I was out.
I DID however have my normal three cups of coffee this morning!!!
.
I first saw this note when it showed up at Heritage about 2 months ago(?), and put it onto he tracking list immediately. Sometimes I search by what I am looking for and not what is "current".
It has everything I like. The right grade (58epq), exceptional paper and originality, attractive ink, pleasing centering, more difficult signatures, and a lower population, nearing (or in) the Condition Census.
I was prepared to pay more, as I have found this note more difficult than a quick glance at a population report might suggest, but was happy to find that the bidding was subdued.
Of the 6 finer at PMG, 2 are shown as 60's and one is a 62 ... and based on the grades and my research, all three of those are problem notes (the 62 is a "Repaired" note, and I have been told to two 60's may be previous grades of the same note).
Anyway ... my prize for the day ... as I have now switched to an afternoon iced tea!

I love looking at old currency yet I’m too afraid to collect them due to my complete ignorance of that hobby. So I’ll admire from afar @pursuitofliberty Thanks for posting it for us to appreciate.

Good morning
Been wanting to put together some displays of my coins. Had this extra case from Littleton, which curiously doesn’t hold regular 2x2 ‘s just a wee bit small, decided to try and repurpose it. I’m quite happy with the results. What do you think?
Strong coffee and an active imagination 😁
And the final results. Top row are tokens. Second row is my libertad 5- coin set. Third row is one ounce examples of different countries offerings and the bottom row is my toned 1980’s libertads.
Enjoying my standard YETI of iced coffee with some art from Charles Marion Russell, a commemorative medal with his name and some coins from the era. Happy Saturday all.
Just got back from 5 days fishing in Southern Oregon late last night. It's taken near a full pot to start to recover this morning. My body may not be made (any more) for kayaking that many days in a row and putting in 1000+ miles of drive time in that short a window. However, one 19" Rainbow and multiple 16" to 20" Kokanee's later, along with some beautiful areas to paddle, it was a good trip.
Got grades and TrueViews on a few coins.
This one is kind of a hot mess, with a great crack. She was in a NGC 55 holder, but that seemed like a 50/50 proposition, IMO. I'll take the PCGS 53.

Drinking coffee ... and wishing this was true so I at least knew what the grade was! 10 days stuck on this screen

A day late but after a half pot at the local diner here is a newp from CSNS.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
Heck of a coin @BustDMs
Hope you don't mind, but here's the TV for everyone to view.
