Your nice coin is a V-10 die marriage, with the distinctive repunched star 1.
It's an early die state, before all the "crumbling" or "spalling" that happens around AMERICA.
But the chip above the left foot of A2 (first A in AMERICA) is visible, which confirms V-10.
The stars were put onto the hub in late 1840, and prior to that they were punched by hand.
So sometimes you get dramatic repunching visible on high grade coins like this.
The V-10 is probably the most dramatic of all of them.
I love these Liberty Princes designs. A nice Simpson Pedigree piece with a CAC as a bonus. Interesting to note that I think this piece appeared is several sequential Superior auctions in the 90's with no takers .... ah only to travel back in time. It is also the plate example (Ex Teletrade) on USPattern.com web site.
