enrollments and the bulk trays are two different buying options. Restrictions on being bulk buyer, no restriction on the enrollment option. Enrollment option includes box and COA, bulk trays include capsule only.

It is my understanding that the bulk buyers get 10% of the 160,000 box & COA in advance plus all of the bulk 40 coin trays.
I will pose this question to my connection at CW as I don't believe you can get a real answer from the mint.

I hope the ASE-S proof enrollment opens up. Or at least they'll have some to order.
I'd HATE for that to be the 1 ASE proof I'd have missing. Just stupid. (Or pay 3-5 x for one on the open market, I'm sure HSN will have a bunch. )
Anyone think they'll cancel the "S" proof this year?
If you have to buy after market, look at AVC coins or Pinehurst..

As I understand it:
~ 'Numismatic Bulk Purchase Program' (NBPP) - in this case, gets the 40-coin trays (i.e., item #22EG040). As @derryb pointed out, these do not come with boxes or COAs, just capsules.
~ 'Authorized Bulk Purchase Program' (ABPP) - in this case, gets advance access to a max of 10% of the available 160,000 coins (i.e., 22EG). IIRC, it is NOT always 10% (e.g., item #22EA).
Every one of the 18 ABPP dealers is part of the NBPP, but not every NBPP dealer is part of the ABPP.
Looking forward to clarification from your CW contact.
Clarification is definitely needed. At the CW reported numbers (281,840 total) this would be the highest mintage uncirculated ASE since 2011 and higher by more than 100,000 than any of the last 5 years. Really??

I believe you are correct. Thanks for the expanded information. If I get confirmation I will post it.

I am sure the 160,000 regular issue will sell out. We will have to see if the NBPP trays are sold. If so the total will be 281,840.

I’m stuck because I’ve got em all , so I kinda want to keep with a loser. I can relate, I do realize that these are probably never going to be loved. Low mintage and all.
I have managed to resist the other ase’s, so far. ( no that’s not true, I bought a congratulations set. ) 😉🦫🙀
I am hit or miss. Purchased a lot for the grand kids birth years. Purchased a lot last year because of the new type 2 s but mostly because I retired and spent too much time on line.

35 minutes and still up.looks like anybody who wants one can get one from the mint.
Will there be more demand for the S proof ? I expect so but there will probably be some avable at on sale time. Stay tuned.😳

Have seen several dealers on eBay variously advertising them as pre-sale, burnished, confirmed order, all non-certified, prices range from approximately $80-$95, some with free shipping, some charge extra. I suspect that as long as they're still available from the mint, prices will still not go up Seems like they will only make $15 or $20 per coin, maximum. I guess if you have a mass market/volume, this is worth it.

There is no mintage limit. The mint just needs to change the packaging and give it a different product # and they can mint all they want.

Yes, I believe the S Proof will be the winner this year as the most valuable of the ASE's.
The S proof went unavailable almost immediately upon enrollment opening (but we know how a sold out enrollment does not mean really mean much anymore).
For those with existing S Proof enrollments that can increase their enrollment to 100 coins... I believe they can make a nice side profit to help pay for more than a few S Proof's to keep for themselves.
Can you remind me what you entered in the search query to find out the number available?
On the Mints product schedule click on the unc, when it comes up right click anywhere in the white space on the item page. Then click the "view page source" in the box that appears. When the page comes up click on the three dots at top right of your screen which brings up a box of options. From there click on "find." In the new search box type "data-available" and hit enter. Refresh throughout the sale day & you'll see the number available in real time.

Took me a while to get the hook outta my mouth before replying, but they reeled me in.
I typically just collect the proof, but was wondering what the deal was with the Mint's warning - if they'd be available and for how long. So I bit on 3 of these. I had $201 on me ... so, WTF!!
I'm kinda interested in the burnished finish when I've seen them on special finish coins.
Over 33K available as I type
data-available="33252.0"
Looks like theres (good) hope for ordering the S-proof ASEs.

Heck , the boys came running in about 5:25 this morning ( mountain time 😎) all excited to play catch and release. Didn’t even need to wet a line, just press the button.
Went back to bed 🛌.
Dang , couldn’t even try catch and release with the privy BB coin. Just press the dang dumb button. 😉🦫🙀
Maybe gone shortly after noon when the hhl goes away. Is the economy starting to have an impact? It will be interesting to see if the 'S' goes like this.

I’m on the fence. Anyone wanna push me over to help me to decide?
Sitting this one out. I only like shiny proofs. Got three of last years just because it was new design
Nothing special with this one.
Get it. The dealers are buying these up and pushing them as burnished ASEs with a low mintage (160K). They are selling them for around $150.
