My son had an enrollment for 75 of the uncircs. but he cancelled it four days before release. Got an email from the mint that they had shipped. He talked to customer service and decided best to just refuse the shipment and have it returned to sender.

It's the mint. Remember that box of chocolates thing. If he just changed the quantity on the enrollment page it does not always work up or down whenever you post it. You have to call customer service to cancel and should receive a cancellation
confirmation email. The two times I have cancelled orders I received a confirmation email within minutes.
Let us know how he makes out with it.
Also to be sure an enrollment does not ship , remove you credit card temporarily, if you do not plan any purchases, then add it back before the next purchase.

OK, here is my sleepwalking hypnotic suggestion for you. You will walk over to your computer. You will enter "usmint.gov" and navigate to the 2022 uncirculated ASE. You will start to drool at the sight of it. You will finally place an order for 1,000 of the uncirculated ASEs! After the sense of extreme satisfaction, you will go back to bed and dream about lying in a bed covered with a thousand burnished ASEs.
There, now you've done it. Wasn't so bad after all, was it?
I think demand is legitimately down - lot of people facing increasing expenses and hobby budgets will suffer. I think we may have seen the peak for <$1,000 material.

Yes, I think that's it too. There are a lot of issues to contend with. You should see it in foreign countries, too. The Royal Mint in Great Britain issues so many coins that they themselves can't keep up with it. They are citing supply chain issues with the silver planchets, but I think that it's just that they can't keep up with the demand due to the huge number of releases. Also, because of this, the RM's quality control is virtually non-existent, and MANY collectors are sending their coins back. It's a bit of a mess there.
Can you remind me what you entered in the search query to find out the number available?
On the Mints product schedule click on the unc, when it comes up right click anywhere in the white space on the item page. Then click the "view page source" in the box that appears. When the page comes up click on the three dots at top right of your screen which brings up a box of options. From there click on "find." In the new search box type "data-available" and hit enter. Refresh throughout the sale day & you'll see the number available in real time.
when the page source comes up I am not seeing any dots or anything on the top right left or center. Did they get smart and remove it or is something incorrect?

Balance remaining 16,068. At this rate it will take a month or more to sell out. Anyone who wants this coin will be able to get one.
That in and of itself is a very good thing. Whether it's the higher mintage or lack of popularity of this coin, the availability is great. Collectors can get them and so can the dealers. And yet, the Mint has sold 144K of these.

Cool. I hope your grandkids are interested in them. I have purchased far too many coins with the intentions of giving them to my grandkids sometime in the future. They have zero interest in coins at this time and I hope that changes in the future.
In the meantime I will enjoy them myself.

My 2 arrived at my local post office but I changed my address so I guess they are on the way back to the mint.
I did change my address with the mint way before they shipped, but I didn't realize I need to change it on the enrollments.
Since they are still available I did order one, I wonder if they'll reship the other 2.

derryb, did your son file a dispute with his CC or is he going to give the mint time to post the credit first ?
filed CC dispute simply to avoid any CC interest on the $5K purchase. No telling how long it will take the mint to refund the card.

If things go like they went with Rhode Island , Vermont Innovation dollars and the Kennedy halves a boatload of the Uncirculated Silver Dollars should magically appear within the next week. Way before returns would even be possible. With the Rhode Island and the Vermont it was nearly 2/3 of the original mintage limits after the remind me button came up the first day of sales.
Mint sales number on the uncirculated is 143,738 as of Sunday which left 16,262 available as of Monday morning. This is in line with the numbers that were showing on the data search then. This seems to confirm the data numbers are as close to accurate you can get from the mint. However, remember that box of chocolates thing.

There we go. Just like clockwork. Back to 16,207 on the Silver Eagles just I said 2 days ago.
A wise lifelong friend suggested that perhaps it’s a backlash to repeatedly being abused by the mint. Crappy quality, 5 month waiting time while your CC is tied up, outright lies about demand. It just takes the wind out of folks and leaves a bad taste.
There’s nothing particularly wrong or bad about the offerings, it’s more of enough is enough. As a collector only , I am unaffected mostly, but sellers and speculators appear to have had it 😳
As always, just me and the boys offering an observation. 😉🦫🙀
Onward to the SF ase’s.
Beaver noticed that the mint product schedule has been extended to include items up to August 1st and the ONE ounce silver Air Force ( armed forces medals) are available for enrollment). Sounds like they will be happening again and again. We’ll see 😉🦫🙀

Demand must have been high in the late night. Looks like they sold around 5000 overnight. Maybe someone is just messing with the numbers again.
Down to just over 18,000.

Negro Leagues Privy and Two coin set still on sale. Will the mint pull another batch of Proof W ASE's out of their *$$.
Is it really a plan to stiff the flippers, deceptive advertising or just plain incompetency.

I think it's a fight between the Mint and the flippers and their BOTS. Mint is finally doing a good job on that front.
