Regarding the 1958-D Lincoln cent above: Current PCGS population is 16 in 65BN, 4 finer. Despite the prevalence of many 1958 mint sets with some beautifully toned silver (Franklin halves from this year seem especially nice, both P- and D-mints, and some of the Washies are pretty sparkly too), it seems that the 1958-P and -D Lincolns with attractive toning sufficient to be certified Brown (now there's an irony for you) in high Mint State grades are hard to come by. Yet Red and Brown and Red cents survive in abundance up to MS66 and even MS67.
Here's the current PCGS Pop Report. This is just an interesting anomaly; I'm sure part of it is explained by more people submitting untoned coins until recently ... but is that the only reason? I wonder if maybe the sulfur/other chemicals present in the mint set packaging for this year was more reactive to the silver coins than the copper ones?

My latest purchase for my set, PR67BN. Pop of 19 with only 1 higher. I'm going to start upgrading dates to higher BN grades. I already bought a PR67BN 1964, but it doesn't have TrueView, so I'm sending it to PCGS to get reholdered

I cracked this out of a PCI holder and it went 65BN last year. I just saw it in a 66BN holder.

I recently submitted some MS (1909 VDB, 1909 S, 1929, 1932, 1940 and 1941) Lincolns and some Proof and SMS Lincolns (1939, 1940, 1942 and 1950-1970) to our host for grading and True View.
True Views of some of these coins will be posted when available.
It will be fun to participate in this thread (this thread has major eye candy for copper fans).
