An hour and twenty minutes later and your question has been answered

You should have put some stars in the title and attached a couple pictures to make this thread "official".
I am going to buy at least 3. Still hesitate whether to buy more.

  • CoinMeisterCoinMeister Posts: 642 ✭✭✭✭

This thread will blow up about an hour before game time. I agree with @Samuel8.
The stars and “official” will make this thread stand out for this specific mint issue.
Oh -and I’m in for at least one.

The Mint put my enrollment for this coin through some changes today. First the line on my enrollment list was removed for awhile, then it was returned to the list without the Next Shipment Date (back to TBD). Don't think I've seen that happen before. Maybe just never looked this closely.
Is that normal the day prior to release? Anyone else with an enrollment see the same?

Will these develop milk spots? :o

Nah these get yellow and brown spots. Really! Do you think milk spots would lower themselves to the humble burnished 😂. They really prefer proofs!👿

I would go for your 3 as these will probably be unavailable first day maybe first hour.

The buyer I usually sell to is not buying these he said. I’m a bit surprised, it’s similar to a few other coins that have done decent this year. I still may pick a few up just in case.

  • Jzyskowski1Jzyskowski1 Posts: 6,650 ✭✭✭✭✭

There seems to be a serious problem with these. 2019 -138,000
2020- 150,000. These are low mintage and when the new wave of collectors finds these are cheap for a ase collector issue. I expect these burnished issues to come alive price wise. We shall see

I will buy some, 3 or more as I am buying all the silver items this year...

  • Mindy9773Mindy9773 Posts: 160 ✭✭✭

Plus it’s going to be burnished right?

I did not witness the changes you described in real-time.
However, like you, my "MT" enrollment is currently back to "TBD" for the "next shipment" date.

I’m in for my three on enrollment. I get a kick out of all the people who aren’t interested….and then the coin sells out.

Yes,,,,, I have seen 2021 Ty 2 Silver Eagles in 2 coin holders with a 1/10 oz gold already spotted. If I bought any,,,,, I would dip them and rinse them and neutralize them before putting them into storage or submitting for grading.

At least then you have a chance of preventing spots.

At $67 ea plus grading I don't think it is worth the risk,,,,,,, if spots develop they are worth melt,,,,,,, at least to me anyway.

Makes me concerned about the Peace and Morgan Dollars spotting now that they are .999 fine. I have never had any trouble with 90% silver commemoratives spotting and I have a lot of them.

Not interested in this one..... As far as 'milk spots'... Usually just on proofs, but dip all new silver in acetone upon receipt.... Cheers, RickO

The mint issues so much new stuff these days that you can’t keep up with it. If you do, the distribution system is such that the limited mintage is gone before you have a chance to buy it.

I am reminded of what happened to the stamp hobby. The Post Office issued so much “stuff” that collectors threw up their hands and said “ENOUGH!”

I pick my shots based on what interests me. The rest is out of sight, out of mind.

I had to prove I was human 2x for each purchase attempt.

it would then go to page not found.

eventually got 1 after much trouble (forgot I buy 1 of these, otherwise would have a subscription)

I was just wondering the same thing? @MsMorrisine, I too had to prove I’m human and page not found at least twice. I’m doomed on Monday.

I’m guessing the two coin set will also be an instant back order.

2 plus 1 add on. Really screwy during first check out. page not found 4 times. The single I just ordered went through first try? December 14th and I was waiting and I saw none 0 nada available now?

I think the many multiple enrollments took all that were ready for shipment. Trying to get these in time for a first strike submission is pointless, if you did not enroll ahead of time.

  • finding out its much easier to just order on your Iphone than on the computer! got so many 'page not found' then the dreaded human that I just went on phone and it went thru so quickly.

USM11403... First 5 minutes order went through after 4X . May or not cancel after a time because of the 3 month wait :/
