Since Mantle is now back with Topps, I picked up a Project 70 card - ultra thick stock.

    The print run was 6656.

Now the bonus! They seeded 70 Rainbow versions to the buyers - so odds are 95/1 - I got #1/70!

not sure if anyone else has noticed, but its absolutely crazy to see what some of the ‘52 mantle reprint and reissues have been doing. primarily the ‘83, ‘91 national and some of the refractors. some seem a bit nefarious but there seems to be a good amount of legitimately sold ones during the last 6 months. i was blown away.

Hit on my first try to send 5 lower value but nice eye appeal cards to HGA with the colored flips. Ripken Ring Leaders get a custom graphics flip they design to complement the card. These are the 5 I picked up

Just got these back from my most recent sub.....meh. Soto is pretty accurate. Hoped for better on other 3

I dig the red ink 70/70 on the Acuna, that’s kind a cool & nice job on the Rose.

Solid cards of key Cincy players! Congrats! I watched several games at Crosley as a youngster, reminiscing about the the two hour plus bus trip via our local Boys' Club. Thanks for sharing.

I've wanted to buy one of these for years. Since I'm such a shrewd dealmaker, I waited until he got into the HOF and paid twice what I could have paid a couple years ago..........

Hey, at least it wasn’t triple!

Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?

Couple huge raw pickups for me! I own the frank baker in PSA 8, with only 2 graded PSA 9(!), and Byron Browne only has a pop 9 PSA 9, so hoping these will turn out for me when the time comes!!

Upper right corner of Browne would seem to preclude a 9, but they’re both beauties and good luck! 🤞

Always love the monthly pickup thread eye candy= read thru this months finally my lord great pickups, auction wins and sub returns !

These are from the most recent economy sub Sept 2020 that just came back.
Will comment on each above. Three are PC items the Heads Update Blue goes you know where

Expected an 8 on this thick Pacific Blue and got it- normal on thick cards

Expected an 8 on this retail Brady and got it- PC item

Expected a 9 on this Piazza and got it. These come sealed so generally in great shape. Already have his Bat piece Refractor slabbed also as well that one also got a 9

This was the pleasant upgrade surprise. I "thought" it looked great but based on past experiences expected the dreaded 8.5 or 8. So coming back slightly higher Mint 9- gravy. PC item anyways B)

Touch upper right corner white prevented higher. And no that bottom right corner isn't white - shows all blue. It is white because of my camera angle FYI ( before anyone thinks they messed up at PSA its the CAMERA angle I used- I checked under a 10X loupe soon as I saw my scan)

Jr rookie which fits a few sets. Still needs a mechanical error fixed, but I am glad I got it! This is the one which takes me to 100% on my 89 Star Griffey Master set. 5th set at 100%

Nothing exciting, but these are kind of fun for my collection. Gotta read the backs to see why...
